Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor
Armor · ArmorBody4★An upgraded version of Hexolite Armor that stands up to high heat.
Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor is 22nd of 145 body armours by defense, at 780 against the 1,092 of Cold-Resistant Ancient Armor.
Wearing it also carries the effects Cold Resistance Lv. 2, Heat Resistance Lv. 3, Fire Damage Reduction Lv. 1, Attack Up (S) Lv. 4, which matters more than the raw numbers in the biomes that punish you for the wrong outfit.
No recipe takes it as an ingredient. Whatever you build is the finished article, so there is no reason to hoard spares.
Details
At 40 weight each it eats carry capacity fast, so bring a mount or park a chest nearby. At 626,460 gold it is worth real money to a merchant.

Where to Find Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor
The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is sea base enemy camp loot in the Feybreak at 1.1% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
Using Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Well
The two vaguely-labelled passives are worth putting numbers to. Fire Damage Reduction Lv. 1 is a flat 15% cut to incoming Fire damage, which stacks with the heat protection on exactly the routes you wear this for. Attack Up (S) Lv. 4 is not melee — the (S) is Shot Attack, so it is +12% to your firearms and nothing else, and it only exists on the schematic-built tiers. And because Cold Resistance Lv. 2 rides along with Heat Resistance Lv. 3, the piece covers a volcano run and a cold night on the way home without a swap, for everything short of the deepest snowfield.
It is the cheaper half of the legendary Hexolite pair. Defence, HP, weight and durability are identical to Cold Resistant Hexolite Armor, and the only real divergence is the resistance mix and one material line — 5 Thermal Core here against 20 Cryogenic Coolant on the cold variant. If you can only afford to finish one and your route is mixed climate, build this one: it is the lighter material bill and its Cold Resistance Lv. 2 covers the milder end of the cold band anyway.
Unlocking the technology does not get you this version. The common Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor appears in the tech tree at level 63 for 5 technology points; the legendary copy has no tech entry at all and only becomes craftable once Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor Schematic 4 is in your inventory. Spending the 5 points is still worth it early — it gives you a wearable heat layer while you are still hunting the schematic.
Against the common version the numbers are +180 defence, +525 HP, and four times the durability (72,000 against 18,000). The durability multiplier is the part people underrate: it turns the piece from something you patch after every couple of expeditions into gear you can wear for a whole progression stretch, which matters when repairs eat Hexolite you would rather spend on ammunition.
Every Tier of Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor
The same piece exists at 5 rarities, and the gap is not cosmetic: defense runs 600 to 780, a 1.3x swing. Which one you end up with is decided by the rarity of the schematic you built from, not by the recipe — so a legendary copy of this is worth more than the next item up built from a common one.
| Rarity | Item | Defense | HP | Durability |

Schematics That Unlock Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor
The Technology tree hands you the plain Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor at level 63 for 5 Technology points, but nothing above that base version — the rarer builds are schematic-only. One schematic grants the recipe, and they are world loot — chests, boss Pals and the late-game pools — rather than anything you research. Higher-rarity copies of the same schematic raise the quality of what you end up crafting.
Fastest route. The fastest route is sea base enemy camp boss stashes in the Feybreak, and the reason is the ladder rather than the top rung: that pool stocks every tier, so the common copies it hands you fuse upward into the one you want. Counting them, a top-tier Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor schematic works out at roughly 38 containers against the 94 the 4★ drop rate alone suggests. Spare low tiers are progress, not clutter. Schematics fuse five-to-one, so a lower tier with better odds can beat the top tier outright. Counts are containers of that source, not time.
| Schematic | Rarity | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 4★ | Feybreak sea base camp loot, Treasure map digs (tier 5), Feybreak sea base camp stashes +5 more — best 1.1% (grade 2/5/6) · Supply drops in the Feybreak (0.07%) |
Alternatives and Upgrades
Cold Resistant Hexolite Armor matches it exactly at 780 defense — those two differ in what they resist and what they weigh, not in raw defense, so picking between them is a swap rather than an upgrade. The next real step is Ancient Armor at 800; below it is Lightweight Hexolite Armor at 780.
