Where to Find Roujay Saddle
Roujay Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.
The recipe sits at Technology level 72 and costs 4 Technology points, so this is a very late unlock — the Soralite Ingot x10 in the cost means a Sky Island trip has to happen first either way.
Using Roujay Saddle Well
Building the saddle is what switches Roujay's Dark-Nester partner skill on. Until you have it, Roujay is a work Pal and nothing else; with it, Roujay can be ridden as a flying mount and the party-wide damage bonus starts applying.
Mounted, Roujay sprints at 1350 and carries 200 stamina, so it flies faster than it runs on the ground and covers ridge-to-ridge distance without dropping you halfway.
Dark-Nester only pays out against enemies already suffering the Darkness (blind) ailment — it does nothing to a clean target. Bring something that applies Darkness first, then the bonus lifts both your own damage and your other Pals' damage.
The bonus scales with Roujay's star rank: 50% at base, then 53%, 56%, 60%, and 65% once fully condensed. Ranking Roujay up is worth more than it looks here, because the buff applies to the whole party's damage rather than just Roujay's.
Roujay Saddle — Roujay's Gear
Roujay Saddle is Roujay's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Roujay cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.
Equipping it turns on Roujay's partner skill, Dark-Nester.
Roujay is Dark, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
