Where to Find Celesdir Saddle
Celesdir Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.
Using Celesdir Saddle Well
Blessing of Purification is two separate effects and the saddle gates both of them, so a Celesdir in your party is doing nothing at all until this item is sitting in your inventory. The half worth crafting for is the heal: while Celesdir occupies a party slot — riding not required — it restores 0.15% of the player's and your other party Pals' Health every second, climbing to 0.225, 0.3, 0.45 and finally 0.75% per second as you condense it. That is 9% a minute uncondensed and 45% a minute at four stars, and it runs on its own with no cooldown to watch. The catch the tooltip leaves out is that the tick is flagged for out-of-combat only: it shuts off the moment a fight starts and picks up again when it ends, which makes this a potion-saver between fights rather than sustain you can lean on during one. A second Celesdir adds nothing either — the heal is explicitly non-stacking.
Read the 2/3/4/5/6% attack line as a rate, not a total. It is multiplied by how many of your other four party slots hold a Neutral Pal, and both numbers land on Celesdir itself rather than on you — a Celesdir carried alone gets nothing from its own partner skill. Fill the party with Neutral and an uncondensed one runs at 8% Ranged Attack and 8% Move Speed; a four-star copy in the same party reaches 24% of each. Ranged is the right stat to be lifting here: every move Celesdir learns, from Power Shot at level 1 to Radiant Barrage at 70, is a Shot move, so nothing in its kit sits outside the buff.
Neutral is the cheapest condition in the game to satisfy — 36 non-boss Pals carry it, and four of them are Lamball, Cattiva, Chikipi and Vixy from the opening hour. Nothing checks whether those Pals can fight, so Neutral base workers you were hauling around anyway count in full. If you want those slots pulling their weight too, Nitewing is a Neutral flying mount, Galeclaw a Neutral glider and Eikthyrdeer and Fenglope are Neutral ground mounts, so a party stacked to feed this saddle still carries flight, a glide and a spare mount.
As a mount Celesdir is a stamina pick, not a speed pick. Its 1200 sprint is mid-table, but 260 stamina is deeper than every ground mount at that speed except Hartalis, Paladius and Necromus, and those three want saddles at level 61, 61 and 70 against this one's 54. The direct rival at the same unlock level is Gildane: slightly quicker at 1260, but 200 stamina, so Celesdir covers more ground per dismount. Worth knowing before you save for the Noct version — Celesdir Noct rides at exactly the same 1200 and 260, and its saddle is 24 levels later at 78, so the upgrade there is the Pal's skill and nothing about the journey.
Celesdir Saddle — Celesdir's Gear
Celesdir Saddle is Celesdir's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Celesdir cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.
Equipping it turns on Celesdir's partner skill, Blessing of Purification.
Celesdir is Neutral, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
