The missiles are not a flat number. Aerial Missile climbs 20 / 22 / 26 / 32 / 40 in power across the five partner skill ranks, so a maxed Jetragon hits exactly twice as hard per missile as one you just caught. Most of that jump is in the last two ranks, which is where the condenser work actually pays off.
