Where to Find Celesdir Noct Saddle

Celesdir Noct Saddle is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.

Using Celesdir Noct Saddle Well

The ride is the smaller half of what this buys. Blessing of Chaos is keyed to the saddle in the game's own data, so the skill does not exist until the item is in your inventory — and once it does, it works out of a party slot rather than out of the seat. Celesdir Noct is not the Pal that gains anything: the buff lands on whichever Pal you have out fighting, and that Pal pays for it, its attack raised while its Health drains away for as long as it stays deployed. The ladder runs 40% at the first partner-skill rank to 80% at the fifth, so a fully condensed copy is worth double a fresh catch, and a second Celesdir Noct in the party is worth nothing — the effect is flagged never to stack with its own kind.

The cost comes out of your fighter, not out of you, which makes the passenger the real decision. Nothing in the effect waits for combat to start, so the Health goes whether you are swinging at something or walking between camps — send out a high-HP Pal that can carry the bleed through a long fight, and expect a fragile one at 80% attack to be closer to fainting than the number suggests. Swapping the deployed Pal resets whose Health is being spent, so rotating a beaten fighter back into the party is a heal in itself.

Against the plain Celesdir Saddle this one asks the same 4 Technology points 24 levels later, and the material that separates the two bills is 20 Dark Fragment. Only nine Pals in the game drop it at all, and the best rate on that list is 2–3 per defeat — Celesdir Noct is on it, but so is Splatterina, a night spawn with a wide field and far cheaper to farm than the rarity-7 Pals sharing the same rate. The skills the two saddles switch on are opposites rather than upgrades: the pale Celesdir restores Health instead of spending it, and its ladder carries an out-of-battle condition this one does not, so the pair is a swap you make between builds and never a stack.

Celesdir Noct SaddleCelesdir Noct's Gear

Celesdir Noct Saddle is Celesdir Noct's own gear — no other Pal can equip it, and Celesdir Noct cannot be ridden or put to work in its geared role until you have this in your inventory.

Equipping it turns on Celesdir Noct's partner skill, Blessing of Chaos.

Celesdir Noct is Dark, which is what decides where it is worth taking — the gear does not change its typing, only what you can do with it.
