The recipe is not on the Technology tree — it is locked behind a schematic you have to find first. The best single source is treasure chests in the Feybreak at 3.4% per container, and the table below lists every tier and where each one drops.
The recipe on this page builds the plain copy at the High-Quality Workbench. A Rare copy also exists, and you cannot craft your way to it — it needs the Ring of Ground Resistance Schematic (Ring of Ground Resistance Schematic), which sits only on grade 5 chest tables and only in Feybreak: treasure chests in Feybreak Cavern at 3.45%, crates on the oil rigs at 1.18%, ordinary Feybreak field chests at 0.19%. That is roughly 29 cavern treasure chests, 85 rig crates or 526 field chests per schematic, so the cavern run is the only version of this farm worth doing.
Using Ring of Ground Resistance Well
"Slightly reduces" undersells it: the ring carries Earth Damage Reduction Lv. 3, which takes 30% off every point of Ground damage that lands on you. There is no condition attached — no HP threshold, no crouching, no partner requirement — it runs the whole time the ring is in an accessory slot. Against a Ground alpha that is the difference between two hits and three before you need a Mega Sphere's worth of healing.
Do not go chasing that schematic for the defence. The Rare and the upgraded copies (Ring of Ground Resistance +1 and its next step) are wired to the exact same Earth Damage Reduction Lv. 3 as the common ring — identical 30%, identical weight of 2. The paper buys you a rarity label and a different sell price, nothing your health bar will ever notice. Craft the plain ring the moment you have 10 Meteorite Fragments spare and treat the schematic as loot you keep if it falls in your lap.
