Where to Find Zoe Hat
Zoe Hat is not something you find lying around — you craft it, and the recipe is below.
Only the Hard Mode version of Zoe and Grizzbolt hands this out, and it is guaranteed the first time you clear it. The original tower fight everyone clears in their first few hours pays nothing of the sort, and there is no bench, no schematic and no merchant behind it. The lone Cloth on its recipe line is repair material for a hat already in your inventory, not a way to make one.
Getting in is the hard part. Hard Mode rematches only appear once Auri and Shaolong has fallen, and this particular rematch is the meanest on the ladder despite being the tower you cleared first: level 72 with 464,000 HP behind 90% damage reduction, a Syndicate Gunner and a Syndicate Crusher in the arena with it, and a five-minute clock. Using Zoe Hat Well
Twenty defense will not carry you through anything you fought to get it, so this is wardrobe gear — wear it in camp and swap back before the next fight. Repeat runs are still worth queueing for the rest of the table: a 10% roll on the Legendary Beam Scatter Schematic, plus Speed Lotus (L) for the permanent work-speed elixir and Training Crystals on repeat.
Each Hard Mode tower boss guards its own headpiece, seven in all — Axel Hat, Lily Hat, Marcus Hat, Victor Hat, Bjorn Hat and Saya Hat complete the set, and every one of them shares the same 20 defense.
Alternatives and Upgrades
Zenara Hat matches it exactly at 20 defense — those two differ in what they resist and what they weigh, not in raw defense, so picking between them is a swap rather than an upgrade. The next real step is Feathered Hair Band at 21; below it is Dazzi Hat at 20.
