Where to Find Tanzee Effigy
All 30 are on Feybreak. Not most — every single one, with nothing placed on the starter island, in the World Tree or on Sunreach Isle, which makes climb speed the one upgrade track you cannot even begin until you have reached Feybreak. The ladder costs 20, so ten of the 30 can be walked past with nothing lost.
Counted by the fast-travel stone you would warp to, the 30 break down as three each around Feybreak Tower Entrance, Crimson Cliffs and Curved Redrock; two each near Silent Lake, Shady Mushroom Cliffs, The Oculus Gate (Tower in Sight), Scorched Hill, Scarlet Outlook, Deserted Ash Plateau and Shield Dragon Tunnel; and one apiece by Exile's Cape, Azure Cliffs, Wildlands Floodgate, Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate, Crystallized Great Tree, Emberstone Plateau and Stone Pillar Cave Entrance. The two shortest walks in the game are here — roughly 21 m from Hidden Passage to the Oculus Gate and 23 m from Deserted Ash Plateau — followed by about 84 m at Shady Mushroom Cliffs, 94 m at Shield Dragon Tunnel and 116 m at Silent Lake.
Using Tanzee Effigy Well
The item text never says which ability these buy: Tanzee Effigies feed the climb speed ladder and nothing else. Hand them in at a Statue of Power — the ruined-church statues have one standing already, and the buildable version unlocks on the Technology tree at level 9 — for 20 ranks at one effigy per rank, +5% climb speed each, ending at double speed up a wall. Effigies are species-locked at the statue, so a stack of these does nothing for capture power and Lifmunk Effigies do nothing for climbing. Feeding the wrong track is cheap to undo: any ladder resets for one gold coin.
Bring a flier before you start the sweep. Feybreak stacks these on ledges rather than on flat ground: one near The Oculus Gate sits around 365 m up and another near Scorched Hill around 328 m, with the Scarlet Outlook, Emberstone Plateau and Hidden Passage pickups between 170 m and 225 m, while a handful around Curved Redrock and Deserted Ash Plateau sit at or just under sea level. Six warps — Feybreak Tower Entrance, Crimson Cliffs, Curved Redrock, Deserted Ash Plateau, Shield Dragon Tunnel and Shady Mushroom Cliffs — cover 15 of the 20 you need. Bonuses are per-player on co-op servers, so everyone runs their own route.
Each effigy species is buried in exactly one biome, and Tanzee drew the hardest one — the same reason Cattiva Effigies are a World Tree-only errand.
