How to Upgrade Schematics to Legendary at the Drafting Table

You don't have to pray to the loot gods for a Legendary schematic — you can build one. The Drafting Table turns duplicate schematics into higher-rarity ones, and the recipe is the same for every weapon and armor line in the game. Here's how the ladder works and when combining actually beats farming.
The Drafting Table
The Drafting Table unlocks at Technology Lv 45 for 4 Technology Points. It's a Handiwork station, so any crafting Pal can run it — the top Handiwork Pals chew through combine jobs fastest. Build cost:

The 5-into-1 Rule
Every schematic line in the game follows one rule at the Drafting Table: combine 5 identical schematics to get 1 of the next rarity up. The full ladder:
- 5× Schematic 1 → 1× Schematic 2
- 5× Schematic 2 → 1× Schematic 3
- 5× Schematic 3 → 1× Schematic 4, the legendary tier That holds for all 89 schematic lines — every weapon, armor piece, and accessory family, from the humble bat to endgame launchers. A handful of special lines even let you combine five base schematics into their Schematic 1. Each combine is a hefty crafting job, so station a strong Handiwork Pal and let it work.
What to Upgrade First
Combining is expensive at the top of the ladder, so spend your duplicates where the payoff is real:
- Check the Legendary schematic rankings first — that's the target list
- The Drone Launcher line is a flagship endgame pick
- Weapon lines you already use daily beat trophy crafts — a Legendary you fire constantly outvalues a stronger one you won't Duplicates pile up naturally from supply drops, dungeon chests, and expeditions — the Drafting Table is where they stop being vendor trash.
