List of Ice Skill Fruits: Stats and How to Get Them — Palworld Database

There are 10 Ice Skill Fruits in Palworld, and one of them is the hardest-hitting fruit in the whole game — Absolute Frost lands at 700 power when no other element's biggest fruit gets past 600. This guide lists all 10 with power, cooldown and damage per second, every pool that carries them and the real odds, which ones you should breed instead of hunting, and the Pals worth spending a Rare fruit on.

All 10 Ice Skill Fruits

Any Pal can eat any of these — element, level and typing don't gate a fruit, so a Neutral Pal with big Shot Attack is a perfectly legal home for an Ice skill. Palworld has 34 Ice attacks in total and only these 10 exist as fruit; the other 24 are level-up moves and signature attacks locked to one Pal each. The set is top-heavy in a way no other element is: Absolute Frost is both the biggest number on this page and the best damage per second in the element, which almost never happens — in Fire, Water and Dark the biggest fruit is beaten on output by something cheaper.

Four Rares, four Uncommons and two Commons, and all 10 are obtainable — no Ice fruit is stranded behind an event or a cut source. In your bag they all share the same pale blue fruit art, so you can't tell an Absolute Frost from an Ice Missile at a glance; the sortable Palworld Skill Fruit database matches every fruit to its move if you're not sure what you picked up.

Power, Cooldown, and What Ice Is Good For

Every Ice fruit skill is Shot class, so it scales off the Pal's Shot Attack and gets nothing from Melee Attack. That single fact decides the carrier list further down — a 140 Melee monster like Cryolinx gains far less from these fruits than its stat line suggests. Element-wise, Ice deals bonus damage to exactly one thing: Dragon. With 25 Dragon Pals in the game that is the narrowest target list any attacking element has, tied with Ground. Fire is what shuts Ice down, and 43 Fire Pals is a lot of bad matchups to walk into.

The narrow list is still worth carrying, because Dragon is where the late-game ceiling sits — Jetragon at 140 Shot Attack, Shaolong at 135, Xenogard at 120. One Ice carrier on the bench is how you stop those fights turning into slugging matches. Range is the other thing to plan around. Blizzard Spike has a 1,000 minimum and Ice Missile an 800 minimum, so both go dead when something closes on your Pal, and Crystal Breath caps out at 1,500 so it only works if you're already in their face. Diamond Rain, Freeze Wall and Iceberg are the 5,000-range options when a boss won't let you near it.

The table below is the ceiling at each cooldown rung — the best Ice fruit you can slot at that timer. Ice covers seven of the eight rungs and skips 24 seconds entirely, which matters less than it sounds because the 30-second row is the strongest in the game. Absolute Frost is the rare case where the biggest, most expensive fruit is also the correct one: 23.3 damage per second beats everything else in the element and every other element's headline fruit except Electric's and Water's fastest options. If you can't afford it, Blizzard Spike at 22.5 is the fallback and it's only a Rare chest away.

CooldownBest Ice fruit at that timerPowerDamage/sec

4sIcicle Cutter8020.0

12sIcicle Bullet25020.8
16sIcicle Line30018.8
20sBlizzard Spike45022.5
30sAbsolute Frost70023.3

Both 8-second and 12-second rungs have a second fruit sitting behind the winner, and the gaps are ugly — Iceberg gives up 5.0 damage per second to Crystal Breath and Freeze Wall gives up 4.1 to Icicle Bullet. Neither is a damage pick. Iceberg is the fruit you find, Freeze Wall is the fruit you buy for the blocking wall, and both should be replaced the moment a better one turns up. Full numbers for every attack in the game live on the Palworld active skills database.

TipNine of the 10 Ice fruits land Freeze on essentially every connect — only Icicle Cutter at 50% is a coin flip. Freeze comes from Ice moves and nothing else, which makes Ice the one element where the ailment is genuinely exclusive rather than shared. What Freeze does once it lands is broken down in the Palworld status effects guide.

Freeze Makes These Fruits a Capture Tool

This is the reason to keep an Ice fruit around even if you never fight a Dragon. Muffly's partner skill, Fluffy Flutterer, adds capture power against a frozen target — +1 at base and up to +5 once it's fully ranked. Put Muffly in your party, put an Ice fruit on any Pal with decent Shot Attack, freeze the thing you want, then throw. It is the biggest capture-odds swing in the game that you can set up on purpose rather than hope for.

For the setup itself, cheap beats strong. Ice Missile fires every 2 seconds with a Freeze proc that never fails, so it re-applies the status far faster than a 30-second Absolute Frost ever could — and you don't want 700 power flattening the Pal you're trying to catch anyway. Muffly is easy to get with 270 spawn spots, and the bonus stacks with sphere modules. The rest of the capture maths is on the Palworld capture rate calculator.

How to Get Ice Skill Fruits

Five routes carry Ice fruits: the Arena Shop, treasure chests, oil rig crates, fishing spots, and the relic recycler, plus field drops and Skill Fruit Trees as luck on top. One route Ice does not get is elemental-sealed chests — those exist for Fire, Water and Electric only, so the dedicated high-odds pool other elements farm simply isn't on the table here. That pushes Ice players towards Battle Tickets for the expensive fruits and regular chest sweeps for everything else.

Arena Shop — Battle Tickets

Three Ice fruits sit in the Arena Shop permanently, paid for with Battle Tickets from arena rounds. Stock never rotates, so save up and buy exactly what you want rather than gambling on chests. This is also the only guaranteed route to Absolute Frost — no chest, crate, fishing spot or field drop anywhere carries it, and the only alternative is the recycler at well under 1% a pull. At 45 tickets it's the most expensive fruit in the element and it is worth every one of them.

Skill FruitBattle TicketsPowerCooldownRange
Absolute Frost4570030s100 – 3,000
Icicle Bullet3025012s100 – 3,000
Freeze Wall3020012s0 – 5,000

Icicle Bullet is the odd one out on this whole page: the Arena Shop is its only source in the entire game. No chest pool, no crate, no fishing table, not even the recycler. If you want the best 12-second Ice skill on a Pal that doesn't learn it naturally, 30 tickets is the price and there is no way around it. Where tickets come from and what each round pays is covered on the Palworld arena guide, and the rest of the Battle Ticket stock is listed on the Palworld merchant database.

Treasure Chests by Region

Chests are the bulk supply, and which Ice fruits you can pull depends entirely on where the chest is standing. The Grasslands and Forest pools only hold the cheap three. The Desert, Mount Obsidian, Snowfields and Yakushima band swaps in Blizzard Spike and Crystal Breath. The Sakurajima, Feybreak and Sunreach Isle band is the only place regular chests drop Diamond Rain and Icicle Line — two Rares you can't buy at any price.

RegionChest pinsIce fruits in the poolChance per fruit

Forest247Same three as Grasslands0.50%

Feybreak201Diamond Rain, Icicle Line, Crystal Breath, Iceberg1.49%
Sunreach Isle76Diamond Rain, Icicle Line, Crystal Breath, Iceberg1.49%
YakushimaBlizzard Spike, Crystal Breath, Iceberg1.10%

Feybreak is the best Ice farm on the map on both counts at once: four Ice fruits in the pool at 1.49% each works out to roughly a one-in-17 shot per chest, and there are 201 chests to open. Snowfields has the highest single-fruit rate in the game at 1.64%, so if you specifically want a Blizzard Spike that's the region to sweep — 178 chests, three fruits, and the pool is small enough that you'll see one quickly. Turn the region's chest layer on with the Palworld interactive map and run the pins in order rather than wandering.

Oil Rig Crates and Fishing Spots

Oil rig crates are the best repeatable route for the cheap end of the element, and by a wide margin — 2.56% each for Iceberg, Icicle Cutter and Ice Missile across 56 crates that come back once you can handle the guards. That's roughly a one-in-13 chance of some Ice fruit per crate, better than any chest region. Since Ice Missile is the fruit you actually want for the freeze-and-throw capture routine, the oil rig is where you go to stock up on them.

SourcePins on the mapIce fruits it carriesChance per fruit

Feybreak fishingDiamond Rain, Icicle Line, Crystal Breath, Iceberg1.00%
Sunreach Isle fishingDiamond Rain, Icicle Line, Blizzard Spike, Freeze Wall0.94%

Fishing mirrors whatever region the spot sits in at slightly worse odds, with one exception that's worth knowing: Sunreach Isle fishing is the only place outside the Arena Shop and the recycler that Freeze Wall exists at all. There are 367 ordinary fishing spots and 102 rare ones across the map, so this is free value while you're working through the Palworld fishing guide rather than a farm in its own right. Skill Fruit Trees are the wildcard on top of everything: 47 across both maps, 35 on the mainland and 12 in the World Tree, each handing you a fruit with no fight attached — you just don't get to pick the element.

Field Drops and the Ancient Relic Recycler

Field drops are pure luck and only two fruits show up in them meaningfully. Icicle Line lands on the ground in the World Tree at 0.62%, Feybreak at 0.38% and Sunreach Isle at 0.37% — the best field-drop rates any Ice fruit gets, and the World Tree number is high enough to actually notice while you're up there. Everything else is in the 0.03% to 0.04% range: Blizzard Spike and Crystal Breath in the Desert, Iceberg in the Snowfields, Icicle Line in Sakurajima. Nice when it happens, never worth planning a trip around.

Snowfields field dropsIceberg0.04%
Desert field dropsBlizzard Spike, Crystal Breath0.04%
Ancient Relic RecyclerAbsolute Frost, Diamond Rain, Blizzard Spike, Icicle Line, Freeze Wall≈0.27%

The recycler is the interesting one, because the five fruits it produces are every single Rare in the element plus Freeze Wall. It is the only non-Arena route to Absolute Frost that exists. The catch is the rate — about 0.27% per relic, climbing as the relic grade goes up, so Glistening relics are what you want in the machine. Treat it as something you notice while farming relics for other reasons, not a plan; the full setup is in the Ancient Relic Recycler guide.

TipCrystal Breath is the widest-spread fruit in the element — seven chest regions and five fishing pools carry it — but it's the only Ice fruit that appears in no shop and no recycler. If you've been opening chests for a while and still haven't seen one, you've been unlucky rather than looking in the wrong place.

Best Pals to Put Ice Skills On

Shot Attack is the only stat these fruits care about, so the carrier list is ranked on it. Frostallion leads the element at 140 with 140 HP and 120 Defense behind it, but it has no wild spawn spots at all — the Lv. 60 Alpha is the only way to get one. Bastigor is the realistic answer: 130 Shot Attack, the same 140 HP, and 69 spawn spots to hunt instead of a single Alpha. If you'd rather beat it out of a tower than track it down, the fight is covered in the Hard Mode Bjorn and Bastigor guide.

PalShot AttackHPDefenseElementsWhy it's a good carrier
Frostallion140140120IceHighest Shot Attack in the element — no wild spawns, so the Lv. 60 Alpha is the only route
Bastigor130140120IceMatches Frostallion's bulk with 69 spawn spots — the realistic home for your Absolute Frost
Moldron Cryst125110120Ice / GroundAnother spawn-free Pal; the Lv. 78 Alpha is the only source, but 120 Defense is worth the trip
Vanwyrm Cryst1209095Ice / Dark260 spots — the easiest strong carrier to find, though 90 HP means it folds fast
Whalaska Ignis120105110Ice / Fire112 spots plus a Lv. 74 Alpha, and its Fire typing answers the element that counters Ice
Beakon Cryst11510585IceLearns Icicle Bullet free at Lv. 22 — the one Pal that doesn't need the 30-ticket fruit
Icelyn11595105IceOnly 38 spots, but it picks up Absolute Frost on its own at Lv. 70
Whalaska115105110Ice / Water187 spots and a Lv. 55 Alpha — the best mid-game pickup in the element
Pierdon Cryst110100120Ice120 Defense and a free Absolute Frost at Lv. 70; 50 spots to hunt
Reptyro Cryst105110130Ice / Ground130 Defense is the highest of any Ice Pal — the one that survives a raid
Loupmoon Cryst1058080Ice461 spots, more than any other Ice Pal in this bracket — the earliest one you'll trip over
Azurobe Cryst105115105Ice / Dragon259 spots with 115 HP; the Dragon half is a liability against other Ice users, though

Note what's missing from that list. Cryolinx has 140 Melee Attack — the biggest melee number in the element — and only 100 Shot Attack, so every fruit on this page wastes most of what makes it good. Same trap with Loupmoon Cryst at 130 Melee. Feeding a fruit ignores the Pal's own element entirely, so if your best Shot Attack Pal happens to be Dark or Neutral, that's still a perfectly good Ice carrier — check the Palworld combat tier list before you commit a Rare, because a fruit is gone once it's eaten.

Fruits You Can Skip

A lot of these skills are handed out for free by levelling or breeding, which makes buying the fruit a waste of tickets. The two numbers that decide it are how many Pals learn the skill on their own and how many can inherit it from an egg. Ice splits unusually hard here: only three of the 10 have any breeding route at all, and Iceberg alone accounts for 248 inheritors. Everything else has to be found, bought or learned the slow way.

Skill FruitPals that learn it by levellingPals that can inherit itVerdict
Absolute Frost70Buy it — seven learners, none before Lv. 50, and no egg passes it on
Diamond Rain36117Skip the hunt — most Ice Pals get it at Lv. 70 and 117 can inherit it
Blizzard Spike39039 Pals learn it, some as early as Lv. 15 — check your box before farming chests
Icicle Line120Only 12 learners and no egg route; worth grabbing from a Feybreak chest
Icicle Bullet70Joint-fewest learners in the element and Arena-only — 30 tickets is the price
Freeze Wall980Breed it instead — 80 Pals inherit it and the fruit costs the same as Icicle Bullet
Crystal Breath33033 Pals learn it, some at Lv. 7 — you probably already own one that knows it
Iceberg35248Skip. 248 Pals can inherit it, the most of any Ice move by a mile
Icicle Cutter340Cheap and everywhere — take one from an oil rig crate rather than farming for it
Ice Missile34034 learners, several at Lv. 1, but stock up anyway for the freeze-and-throw routine

The clean read: Absolute Frost and Icicle Bullet are the two fruits genuinely worth Battle Tickets, because seven learners and zero inheritance means almost nothing in your box will ever have them. Freeze Wall costs the same 30 tickets and 80 Pals can inherit it, which makes it the worst ticket buy in the element. If breeding is the cheaper path for you, how breeding works in Palworld covers which parent passes what, and the Palworld breeding calculator finds you the pair.

Farm Your Own at the Skillfruit Orchard

Late on you can stop hunting fruits and start growing them. The Skillfruit Orchard unlocks at level 71 and costs 200 Mythical Wood, 500 Paldium Fragment and 150 Soralite. The Mythical Wood is the slow part, since relic recycling is where it comes from. Plant a fruit and every harvest rolls a fixed table: 60% of cycles give nothing, 15% return the exact fruit you planted, 15% a Common of the same element, 7% an Uncommon, and 3% a Rare.

That 3% is what makes it worth building for Ice specifically, because the Rare pot here is a four-way roll between Absolute Frost, Diamond Rain, Blizzard Spike and Icicle Line — and one of those four is the strongest fruit in the game. Plant the cheap Ice Missile you pulled out of an oil rig crate and you have a renewable, ticket-free trickle towards an Absolute Frost. It is slow, but it's the only route to one that doesn't run through the arena.

MaterialQtyWhere it comes from
Mythical Wood200Every grade of Ancient Relic recycles into it — guaranteed output
Paldium Fragment500711 Paldium Ore nodes on the map, or buy them from the Wandering Merchant
Soralite150226 Soralite nodes, plus Sunreach Isle supply drops and expeditions
TipPlant the element you want more of, not the fruit you value least. A planted Ice fruit only ever returns Ice fruits, so an orchard running spare Ice Missiles is a slow drip towards a Rare Ice fruit — while an orchard full of leftover Grass fruits will never hand you an Absolute Frost no matter how long it runs.
