How to Get the Pal Disassembly Conveyor and How It Works
Everything the Pal Disassembly Conveyor costs in Palworld: technology level 56 and 5 points, all four crafting materials with their stations, the 847 Ore raw-material total, the power setup it needs to run, and the Pals worth feeding it.

The Pal Disassembly Conveyor is the base structure that butchers Pals for you, so you can stop swinging a Meat Cleaver one Pal at a time. This guide covers the technology level it unlocks at, all four materials and where each one is made, the raw ore and oil the whole build really costs, the power it needs to run, and which Pals are worth putting through it.
Pal Disassembly Conveyor at a Glance
The conveyor arrived with the Sakurajima update and sits in the Pal tab of the build menu, not under Production or Infrastructure — that is where most people lose ten minutes looking for it. It is a genuine endgame build: technology level 56 puts it above the Pal Metal Ingot armour tier and past the point where your base needs a real power grid, because unlike the Meat Cleaver it runs on electricity instead of your own swings. Nothing gets assigned to it either — there is no work suitability to staff, so once it is powered it just runs.

How to Unlock the Pal Disassembly Conveyor
Hit character level 56, open the technology tree, and spend 5 technology points. That is a heavy row to land on — 447 of the game's 588 technologies are already available by level 56, and unlocking every one of them would run 1,043 points, so you are always choosing. The conveyor shares its level with two other 5-point entries, and if you are still short on firepower the Guided Missile Launcher is the honest competing pick; grab the conveyor first only if your box is already full of Pals you plan to butcher.
| Technology at Lv. 56 | Points |
|---|---|
| Pal Disassembly Conveyor | 5 |
| Guided Missile Launcher | 5 |
| Pal Pod | 5 |
| ULTRAKILL Collab Set 2 | 5 |
| Missile Ammo | 1 |
| Faux Cherry Blossoms Set | 1 |
Crafting Materials and Where to Make Them
Four materials, and they are wildly unequal. The 15 Computers are the wall — at 22,440 gold of value apiece they are worth roughly nine times the other three components combined, and they need a Production Assembly Line II plus four sub-materials of their own. The 30 Nails are a rounding error you can knock out on a Primitive Workbench in a minute. Build the Computers first and everything else falls into place while they cook.
| Material | Qty | Made at | Recipe per unit | Value each |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | Furnace | 4 Ore + 1 Pure Quartz + 2 Paldium Fragment | 1,250 | |
| 15 | Production Assembly Line II | 2 Circuit Board + 3 Plasteel + 2 Bio Battery + 2 Carbon Fiber | 22,440 | |
| 30 | Electric Furnace | 2 Crude Oil + 5 Ore | 2,520 | |
| 30 | Primitive Workbench | 1 Ingot makes 5 Nails | 60 |
Pal Metal Ingot ×100
This is the bulk of the build and the easiest part to automate. Each ingot is 4 Ore, 1 Pure Quartz and 2 Paldium Fragment, so 100 of them means 400 Ore, 100 Pure Quartz and 200 Paldium Fragment. If you already unlocked the Ore Mining Site at technology level 24 (or the upgraded version at 39) and the Pure Quartz Quarry at 52, your base produces all three while you do something else — and level 52 is only four levels below the conveyor itself, so the timing lines up neatly.
Computer ×15
Each Computer needs 2 Circuit Boards, 3 Plasteel, 2 Bio Batteries and 2 Carbon Fiber, all of which chain further down. Fifteen of them come out to 30 Circuit Boards, 45 extra Plasteel, 30 Bio Batteries and 30 Carbon Fiber, and the Bio Batteries alone eat 30 Electric Organs and 30 Refined Ingots. Computers themselves unlock at technology level 50 on a Production Assembly Line II, so if you skipped that node you have a 5-point detour before you can even start.
Plasteel ×30
Plasteel is 2 Crude Oil and 5 Ore in an Electric Furnace, and remember the Computers want 45 more on top of the 30 the conveyor lists directly — 75 Plasteel total, or 150 Crude Oil. Oil is the bottleneck for most players: the Crude Oil Extractor unlocks at technology level 50 and has to sit on an oil field, and there are only 185 oil fields on the whole map. Supply drops in every region also carry it, so check those while you scout a field.
Nail ×30
One Ingot produces five Nails, so 30 Nails is 6 Ingots — 12 Ore and a couple of minutes at a Primitive Workbench. Nails unlock at technology level 10 for a single point, which means this is the one material on the list you certainly already have. Do not overthink it; keep a stack of a few hundred in a chest because almost every base structure asks for them.
Full Raw Material Cost
Chase every recipe down to things you actually mine, shoot or pump and one conveyor costs the ten materials below. Ore dominates at 847 — more than the other nine combined — which is why an Ore Mining Site pays for itself here. The two that trip people up are High Quality Pal Oil and Sulfur, because they are only there to make Polymer for the Circuit Boards, and neither comes out of a node you can casually walk past. The nice part is how much of this list is itself butcher loot: Mammorest hands you 5–10 Pal Oil per Pal, and any Electric Pal covers the Electric Organs, so a cleaver-and-chest setup genuinely funds the machine that replaces it.
| Raw material | Total needed | Where to get it |
|---|---|---|
| 847 | 1,632 Ore nodes, or an Ore Mining Site at technology level 24 | |
| 600 | Any tree — burned into 300 Charcoal for the Carbon Fiber | |
| 200 | 711 Paldium Ore nodes, plus blue crystals in water | |
| 160 | 607 Pure Quartz nodes, or a Pure Quartz Quarry at technology level 52 | |
| 150 | 185 oil fields with a Crude Oil Extractor, or supply drops in every region | |
| 60 | Mammorest drops 5–10 at 100% | |
| 60 | 824 Coal nodes, or a Coal Quarry at technology level 37 | |
| 60 | Suzaku drops 5–10 at 100% | |
| 30 | 655 Sulfur nodes, or a Sulfur Quarry at technology level 46 | |
| 30 | Prixter Lux drops 4–5 at 100% |
Powering the Pal Disassembly Conveyor
The conveyor does nothing without electricity, so a generator and a Pal to spin it are part of the real cost. The plain Power Generator at technology level 26 is cheap enough that most bases already have one, but if the conveyor is joining an Electric Furnace and a Production Assembly Line II on the same grid, the Large Power Generator at level 50 is the one to build — it produces more from the same single worker slot, and you will already be smelting Pal Metal Ingots for its 200-ingot price tag. The Human-Powered Generator is a trap here: any Pal can turn it, but it drains their SAN value and its output will not keep an endgame base lit.
| Generator | Tech level | Materials | Worker |
|---|---|---|---|
| Power Generator | 26 | 50 Ingot, 20 Electric Organ | Generating Electricity Lv. 1 |
| Human-Powered Generator | 26 | 5 Wooden Board, 5 Electric Organ | Anyone, but it costs SAN |
| Large Power Generator | 50 | 200 Pal Metal Ingot, 200 Electric Organ | Generating Electricity Lv. 1 |
| Ancient Power Generator | 75 | 100 Paloxite Ingot, 200 Electric Organ, 10 Ancient Civilization Core | Generating Electricity Lv. 6 |
Best Pals for Generating Electricity
Only 25 Pals in the game can run a generator at all, and Orserk is alone at the top with Generating Electricity Lv. 8 — two full levels clear of the next best. If you have one, it is the answer and you can stop reading this table. Below that, Dynamoff and Solmora Lux tie at Lv. 6 and are far easier to get hold of, while Grizzbolt is the pick if you would rather one Pal cover several jobs — it also hauls at Transporting Lv. 5 and builds at Handiwork Lv. 4, so it earns its bed slot on a busy base.
| Pal | Electricity | Also good at | Why it works |
|---|---|---|---|
Orserk | Lv. 8 | Transporting 4, Handiwork 3 | The only Lv. 8 generator in the game — nothing else comes close |
Dynamoff | Lv. 6 | Gathering 3, Transporting 3 | Best realistic option if Orserk is out of reach |
Solmora Lux | Lv. 6 | Watering 4 | Doubles as your Watering Pal on a farm base |
Grizzbolt | Lv. 5 | Transporting 5, Handiwork 4, Lumbering 3 | Best all-rounder — one bed slot covering four jobs |
Azurmane | Lv. 5 | — | Pure generator, no wasted work slots to distract it |
Helzephyr Lux | Lv. 4 | Transporting 5 | Strong hauler that can cover the generator between runs |
Conveyor vs Meat Cleaver
The Meat Cleaver is not obsolete once the conveyor is up — it is still the tool you carry into the field, and it costs 2 technology points at level 12 against the conveyor's 5 at level 56. What you are buying with those 5 points is throughput and attention: the cleaver is one Pal per animation with your hands on the keyboard, while the conveyor grinds through a queue while you are off doing something else. Both delete the Pal permanently and both pay the exact same drop table, so the choice is purely about volume.
| Meat Cleaver | Pal Disassembly Conveyor | |
|---|---|---|
| Tool | ||
| Unlocks at | Technology level 12, 2 points | Technology level 56, 5 points |
| Cost | 5 Ingot, 20 Wood, 5 Stone | 100 Pal Metal Ingot, 30 Nail, 30 Plasteel, 15 Computer |
| Where it works | Anywhere, on any Pal you can pet | Base only, and only while powered |
| Needs power | No | Yes |
| Your input | One swing per Pal, every time | Load it and walk away |
| Drops | The Pal's full drop table | The Pal's full drop table |
| Also a weapon | Yes, but 25 attack is near the bottom of the game's melee weapons | No |
What to Feed the Conveyor
Automation only pays if the Pals going in are worth more than the Pals you could have kept, so breed replaceable copies and feed those. Aegidron is the headline: it is one of only two Pals in the game that drop a Thermal Core, and two of them breed another one, which turns a single pair into an endless supply. Whalaska does the same trick for Coralum Ore, and Mammorest is the one you can farm long before level 56 — its 5–10 High Quality Pal Oil per Pal is literally the material your Circuit Boards need. Keep Tetroise Primo in the rotation too, since no shop on the map stocks Emeralds.
| Pal | Headline drop | Rate and amount | Why feed it |
|---|---|---|---|
Aegidron | Thermal Core | 100%, 1–2 | One of only two Thermal Core sources, and it breeds from itself |
Whalaska | Coralum Ore | 100%, 2–3 | The only Coralum Ore Pal you can realistically mass-produce |
Tetroise Primo | Emerald | 100%, 1–2 | Emeralds have no shop source anywhere on the map |
Mammorest | High Quality Pal Oil | 100%, 5–10 | Feeds your own Polymer and Circuit Board line |
Prixter Lux | Electric Organ | 100%, 4–5 | Biggest Electric Organ haul — pays for the generators |
Suzaku | Flame Organ | 100%, 5–10 | Covers the Carbon Fiber half of every Computer |
Summary
Reach character level 56, spend 5 technology points, and bring 100 Pal Metal Ingot, 30 Nail, 30 Plasteel and 15 Computer — which is 847 Ore, 150 Crude Oil and 160 Pure Quartz once you trace it to the ground. Wire it to a Power Generator with an Electric Pal on it, park it beside a chest, and feed it Pals you can breed back. Until then the Meat Cleaver at level 12 does the same job for 2 points and a lot more clicking.
