How to Get Faux Tropical Greenery Set: Cost and Pieces

The Faux Tropical Greenery Set is a one-point technology at level 27 that drops three artificial tropical trees and a matching bush into your build menu, all of them decoration and nothing else. Faux Tropical Greenery Set at a Glance

This is the fifth faux plant set on the Palworld Technology Tree and the first one that asks for Hardwood instead of plain Wood — every set before it (Greenery, Crimson Foliage, Golden Foliage, Bamboo) runs on the cheap stuff. It has no parent technology, so your character level is the only gate, and none of the four pieces need power, a worker or a station once unlocked. They also cannot be chopped down for materials, so treat the 60 Hardwood you spend as gone for good.

How to Unlock the Faux Tropical Greenery Set

Reach character level 27, open the technology tree and spend a single point on the Faux Tropical Greenery Set — all four pieces then sit permanently in the Furniture tab of your build menu. Level 27 is a cheap row to shop in, and this is the only one-point normal technology on it besides the Ceiling Lamp, so it costs you almost nothing to grab in passing. If you are point-starved, the things worth beating it to are the Hyper Sphere for its higher catch rate and the Small Pouch for the inventory slots; the Extra Weapon Holster is not competition at all, since it is paid for with Ancient Technology Points from a separate pool.

The three trees are variants A, B and C of the same tropical tree, priced identically at 20 Hardwood each — mixing all three is what stops a planted row from looking copy-pasted. The bush is the odd one out and the cheapest piece by a wide margin: it takes 20 Fiber instead, which you can craft from 10 Wood, so it costs a fraction of what a tree does. If you are decorating on a budget, spam the bush and use the trees as accents.

How to Farm the 60 Hardwood

Hardwood comes off the tougher trees growing in the desert, volcanic and snowy parts of the map rather than the starter forests, and our Palworld interactive map pins 4,654 lumber nodes you can work through with the Lumber layer switched on. At level 27 you have three realistic routes to 60: butcher-free Pal drops, the shops, or the mid-game logging setup. Pal drops are by far the fastest, because all four Hardwood droppers hand it over at a 100% rate.

Catch the Pals That Drop Hardwood

Four Pals drop Hardwood and every one of them drops it every single time. Wumpo Botan is the best per-kill haul at 2-5 and has the widest spawn spread of the four, while Palumba gives 2-4 and is the easiest to reach at this level. If you are farming for the set rather than for a Paldeck entry, run a lap of Wumpo Botan territory — roughly 15 to 20 catches or kills covers the whole 60.

Buy It From a Merchant

Hardwood sells for 100 Gold a piece at the Village, Desert and Volcano shops as well as from the Wandering Trader, which puts the whole set's tree bill at 6,000 Gold. That is a lot of money at level 27 and a terrible rate for a decoration, so only take this route if you are already rich and just want the trees planted tonight. Merchants restock, so nothing stops you buying all 60 in one visit.

Set Up Logging for the Long Run

The Logging Site II is the only base facility that produces Hardwood on its own, but it unlocks at technology level 43 and costs 100 Hardwood, 50 Stone, 20 Paldium Fragment and 5 Ancient Civilization Parts to build — more Hardwood than this entire set needs. Do not wait for it. Once you do have it, staff it with your highest Lumbering Pals: Celesdir Noct is the only level 8 logger in the game, with Celesdir and Hartalis tied behind it at 7, out of 63 Pals that can do the job at all.

How to Get the 20 Fiber

The bush is the cheap piece precisely because Fiber crafts straight out of Wood at two Fiber per Wood, so the entire 20 you need is 10 Wood on a workbench. If you would rather not craft, nine Pals drop it and all of them drop it at 100%. Hoocrates and Hangyu are the standouts at 5-10 per drop, and both are extremely common — Hoocrates alone shows up at 263 spawn points, so two or three of them covers the bush outright.

Every Faux Decoration Set Compared

There are eight faux decoration sets spread across the tech tree, each costing exactly one point, and the Tropical set sits right on the line where they get expensive. Everything at level 23 and below is built from Wood, Stone or Fiber; from Tropical onward, every tree in every set costs 20 Hardwood. The Bamboo set at level 23 is the best value on the list — five pieces for one point, no Hardwood — while Desert and Cherry Blossoms are the worst, at three pieces each with no cheap bush thrown in.

Is the Tropical Set Worth a Point?

Yes, if you build for looks — four pieces for one point is the standard rate for faux plants, and the tropical trees are the only greenery that suits a beach or jungle base without importing the snowy or desert sets. Skip it if you are min-maxing progression, because nothing in it produces, stores, buffs or defends anything. The honest play at level 27 is to take the point, then leave the trees unbuilt until you have Hardwood to spare — the unlock is permanent, and the 60 Hardwood is better spent on gear and station upgrades while you are still climbing.
