Skills Not Available as Skill Fruits and How to Get Them
Every Palworld active skill with no Skill Fruit — all 208 sorted by element, with the Pal that learns each one, the level it unlocks, and the only routes left to get them.

A Skill Fruit can hand any active skill to any Pal regardless of its level or element, which makes the list of skills no fruit teaches the more useful list to have. There are 208 of them out of the 300 active skills in the game, and this guide has every one sorted by element, the Pal that learns it, the level it unlocks, and what to do when the skill you want has no fruit behind it.
Skill Fruit Coverage at a Glance
Ninety-three Skill Fruits exist and they cover 92 skills — the whole shelf, every merchant, every chest roll and every relic recycle put together. That leaves 208 active skills with no item attached to them at all. The split is not random either: fruits crowd the middle of the power curve and thin out badly at the top, so the skills you most want to buy are exactly the ones nobody sells.
| Skill fruits vs. the skill list | Number |
|---|---|
| Active skills in the game | 300 |
| Skills a Skill Fruit can teach | 92 |
| Skills with no Skill Fruit | 208 |
| Fruitless skills only one Pal ever learns | 166 |
| Pals holding at least one fruitless exclusive | 123 |
| Fruitless skills you can inherit by breeding | 1 |
| Fruitless skills at 700 power or higher | 38 |
| Highest power a fruit can teach | 700 (Holy Burst, Absolute Frost) |
| Highest power with no fruit | 1,200 (Tocotoco's Megaton Implode) |
Read the last two rows together, because they decide how the endgame actually plays. Every skill in Palworld above 700 power — all seven of them — is fruitless, so no amount of ticket farming at the Arena Shop or rolling the Skillfruit Orchard will put one on a Pal. The 800-power club is Royal Step, Spore Burst, Toxic Dance, Sacred Rain, Aqua Tornado and Paldium Explosion, and Megaton Implode sits above all of them at 1,200. Each one comes with a body attached, and catching that body is the entire acquisition route.
Which Elements Skill Fruits Leave Behind
Coverage is lopsided by element, and it quietly decides how fixable a bad move list is. Electric and Water are the two you can shop your way out of — better than four skills in ten have a fruit — so an Electric Pal with great stats and a poor loadout is a solvable problem. Neutral is the opposite: it is the second-largest pool in the game and the worst served at 80% fruitless, which is why so many Neutral Pals are stuck with whatever they level into. The four elementless Paldium skills have no fruit at all.
| Element | Active skills | Have a fruit | No fruit | Fruitless share |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dark | 45 | 12 | 33 | 73% |
| Neutral | 35 | 7 | 28 | 80% |
| Ground | 33 | 8 | 25 | 76% |
| Ice | 34 | 10 | 24 | 71% |
| Grass | 34 | 11 | 23 | 68% |
| Fire | 30 | 10 | 20 | 67% |
| Electric | 33 | 14 | 19 | 58% |
| Water | 29 | 12 | 17 | 59% |
| Dragon | 23 | 8 | 15 | 65% |
| Elementless | 4 | 0 | 4 | 100% |
The share column is the one to plan around. Anything at 70% or worse — Dark, Neutral, Ground and Ice — means the element is mostly acquired by raising the right Pal rather than by teaching, so build those teams around bodies you own. The full Skill Fruit list covers the other side of this table, and the active skills database carries the per-skill detail.
The Strongest Skills No Fruit Will Ever Teach You
These are the fruitless skills worth restructuring a team around. Power is what one cast hits for, so the numbers below only compare against each other inside a class — a 700-power Melee skill runs off the Pal's Melee Attack and a Shot skill runs off Shot Attack, and swapping the two tells you nothing. Every row is a single Pal's level-up reward, so the acquisition plan is always the same: catch it, raise it.
| Skill | Element | Power | Cooldown | Learned by | Unlocks at | Why it is worth chasing |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Megaton Implode | Neutral | 1,200 | 60s | Tocotoco | Lv. 22 | The biggest number in the game and a suicide move — it detonates the Pal. Worth it as an opener you never repeat. |
| Royal Step | Neutral | 800 | 30s | Starryon Primo | Lv. 70 | The heaviest Melee swing in Palworld, but it will not fire inside 12m — pair it with Silver Steed to cover the gap. |
| Sacred Rain | Neutral | 800 | 30s | Hartalis | Lv. 40 | Neutral damage nothing resists, at Lv. 40 rather than 70 — the earliest 800 you can realistically field. |
| Aqua Tornado | Water | 800 | 40s | Panthalus | Lv. 60 | The only 800 on a 40-second timer, so it trades sustained damage for the largest Water hit that exists. |
| Spore Burst | Grass | 800 | 30s | Silvance | Lv. 70 | Grass has no other answer above 700, and Silvance is the only body that carries this one. |
| Toxic Dance | Dark | 800 | 30s | Dandilord | Lv. 70 | The ceiling of the biggest element in the game, and Dandilord also owns the 700-power Poison Promenade. |
| Paldium Explosion | None | 800 | 60s | Astralym | Lv. 4 | Elementless, so no matchup resists it, and Astralym learns the whole Paldium line before Lv. 5. |
| Crystal Wing | Ice | 700 | 30s | Frostallion | Lv. 30 | A 700 at level 30 — the earliest big-tier skill on a Pal you can actually build a team around. |
| Beam Comet | Dragon | 700 | 30s | Jetragon | Lv. 30 | Jetragon's own line, learned 30 levels before it picks up Meteorain. |
| Twin Spears | Dark | 700 | 30s | Necromus | Lv. 40 | The strongest Dark Melee skill, and Necromus has the Melee Attack to run it properly. |
| Divine Wing | Neutral | 700 | 30s | Hartalis | Lv. 30 | Hartalis holds three fruitless skills; this is the one it gets early enough to matter. |
| Omega Laser | Dragon | 700 | 30s | Xenolord | Lv. 50 | Top of a five-skill exclusive set — no other Pal in the game learns any of them. |
| Meteorain | Dragon | 700 | 30s | Jetragon | Lv. 60 | The widest-reaching fruitless 700: eight Pals learn it, which makes it the easiest of this tier to field. |
Tocotoco is the outlier and deserves a warning: Megaton Implode kills the Pal that casts it, so 1,200 power buys you exactly one cast per Pal. Everything else in the table is repeatable, and the 30-second rows are the best sustained damage tier in the game. If you only chase one, chase Crystal Wing — level 30 on Frostallion is by far the cheapest entry into the 700 club.
Full List of Skills With No Skill Fruit
All 208 sit below, grouped by element and sorted by power. Learned by is the complete answer for each row — where a skill shows one Pal, that Pal is the only source in the game. Unlocks at is the level-up range across every Pal that learns it, so a wide range means you have cheap options and a single Lv. 70 entry means you are grinding one body to cap.
Dark Skills With No Fruit (33)
Dark is the biggest skill pool in the game at 45 and the biggest fruitless one at 33. The ceiling is Dandilord's Toxic Dance at 800, backed by five separate 700s — Dark Nova, Dark Root, Dark Wing, Poison Promenade and Twin Spears — none of which any item will ever teach. Both raid queens keep their signature lines too: Nightmare Ray on Bellanoir and Nightmare Bloom on Bellanoir Libero are 600-power exclusives. The one genuinely easy pickup here is Dark Ball — 28 Pals learn it, most of them at Lv. 1, and its 25 damage per second is the joint-best sustained figure in the game despite the 50 power on the tin.

Neutral Skills With No Fruit (28)
Neutral is the worst-covered element at 80% fruitless, and it is where the game keeps its most extreme numbers. Megaton Implode's 1,200 power is the highest in Palworld and Starryon Primo's Royal Step is the heaviest Melee hit; both are one-Pal exclusives. Hartalis alone accounts for three rows, including Purifying Light on a 100-second timer — the second-longest cooldown in the game. The bottom of this table is the starter set: Roly Poly, Chicken Rush and Punch Flurry have no fruit either, which nobody has ever minded.

Ground Skills With No Fruit (25)
Ground tops out at 700 exactly once — Missile Burst on Aegidron at Lv. 70 — and then drops straight to a 600-power trio. Anubis is the standout body with three fruitless skills across its level curve, which is a large part of why it stays on teams long after its stats stop being special. Twenty-five of the element's 33 skills are fruitless, so a Ground team is built by catching the right Pals rather than by shopping.

Ice Skills With No Fruit (24)
Ice is where the fruitless list is most worth chasing early. Crystal Wing is 700 power at Lv. 30 on both Frostallion and Frostallion Noct, which is the lowest level any 700-power skill unlocks on a Pal you can build a whole team around. Double Blizzard Spike is the other 700 and it reaches three bodies. Below that the element is a long tail of 600s locked to single variants — Ice Burst, Ice Gale Strike, Ice Spit and Glacial Plunge each have exactly one owner.

Grass Skills With No Fruit (23)
Grass keeps 23 of its 34 skills off the shelf, headed by Silvance, which owns both Spore Burst at 800 and Giant Spore at 700. The oddity of this element is Bountiful Protection: zero power, a 240-second cooldown — the longest in the game — and it heals every ally in range. Only Lyleen learns it, at Lv. 55, and there is no other way to get a party heal onto a Pal.

Fire Skills With No Fruit (20)
Fire's fruitless ceiling is a three-way tie at 700, all of it gated behind Lv. 70: Flame Cutter, Magma Laser and Trickster Show. Moldron is the efficient pick because it owns both Magma Laser and the 600-power Magma Spit, so one Pal covers two rows. Brawn Impact is the useful mid-tier entry — 600 power, reachable at Lv. 35 on Blazamut, well before the 70s open up.

Electric Skills With No Fruit (19)
Electric is the best-served element on the shelf, so what is left over is a short list capped at 600. Thunder Rail is the one to know: twelve Pals learn it, and eleven of them at Lv. 70, so it is the element's mass-market capstone rather than an exclusive. Orserk holds Polykeraunos at 600 and also learns Kerauno at Lv. 1, which is the earliest fruitless skill worth keeping on any Electric build.

Water Skills With No Fruit (17)
Water's fruitless list belongs to one Pal. Panthalus owns seven of the 17 rows below — Aqua Tornado, Grand Breach, Maelstrom, Tidal Charge, Aqua Blade, Bubble Rain and Creeping Bubbles — which is more fruitless exclusives than any other Pal in the game holds. Nothing else here reaches 800, and the only other 700s are Celestial Vortex on Shaolong and Thalassonic Laser on Neptilius.

Dragon Skills With No Fruit (15)
Dragon is the smallest pool and the most top-heavy: five of its 15 fruitless skills sit at 700. Xenolord carries five rows on its own, a complete exclusive kit from Satellite Bit at Lv. 15 up to Omega Laser at Lv. 50. Meteorain is the exception that makes this element workable — eight Pals learn it, so it is the one 700-power fruitless skill you have real choice about.

Elementless (Paldium) Skills With No Fruit
The four elementless skills all belong to Astralym, and nothing else in the game learns them. They are also the fastest sustained damage in Palworld: Paldium Rain is 500 power on a 5-second cooldown for 100 damage per second, roughly four times what the best 30-second skill manages. Astralym picks the whole set up by Lv. 4, and because the damage is elementless, no matchup resists any of it.
| Skill | Power | Cooldown | Class | Learned by | Unlocks at |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Paldium Explosion | 800 | 60s | Shot | Astralym | Lv. 4 |
| Paldium Cannon | 700 | 20s | Shot | Astralym | Lv. 2 |
| Paldium Rain | 500 | 5s | Shot | Astralym | Lv. 3 |
| Paldium Shot | 400 | 5s | Shot | Astralym | Lv. 1 |
How to Get a Skill That Has No Fruit
There are four routes a skill can reach a Pal in Palworld, and for 207 of these 208 only one of them is open. Work down this list in order before you write off a skill as unobtainable.
Level the Pal That Owns It
This is the answer for almost every row above. Catch the Pal listed in the table, raise it to the level in the Unlocks at column, and the skill appears in its slot list. Where a range is shown, the low end is your cheap route — Sacred Rain at Lv. 40 on Hartalis beats grinding a different body to 70 for the same tier of damage. Use the Pal level and XP calculator to see how far the target level actually is, and remember that a Pal in your party earns experience from your kills, so the fastest route to a Lv. 70 skill is usually a boss-farming loop.
Breeding Moves Exactly One of Them
Egg moves are the second route, and it barely exists here: Poison Fog is the only fruitless skill that sits in any Pal's egg pool, on Beakon and Hangyu Cryst. It is a zero-power skill that dumps a poison cloud rather than damage, so this is a technicality rather than a loophole. Every other skill in this guide is immune to breeding — hatching a hundred eggs will not produce Crystal Wing or Omega Laser. Check the breeding calculator for what pairs actually pass down.
Farming Fruits Does Not Help: All Routes Share One Pool
Every source of Skill Fruits draws from the same 93 items: merchant shelves, region chests, sealed elemental chests, fishing spots, relic recycling and the Orchard. None of them can produce a fruit that does not exist, so a skill missing from the shelf is missing from all of it. That matters most for the Orchard, which people plant expecting to eventually roll anything — it re-rolls within the element of the fruit you planted and cannot invent new ones. The 47 fruit trees on the map are the same story with fixed spawns.
Partner Skills Are a Separate System
If the skill you are hunting turns out not to be in this guide or on the fruit list at all, it is probably a partner skill — the passive a Pal grants while it is out with you, not something it casts. Those are tied permanently to the Pal and no item touches them either. The best partner skills guide covers which ones are worth a team slot.
Pals Worth Catching for Their Fruit-Locked Skills
123 Pals hold at least one skill that exists nowhere else, but a handful carry whole kits. These are the bodies where catching one Pal buys you several skills you cannot obtain any other way — the best return on a single capture in the game.
| Pal | Fruitless skills it owns | Best of them | Power | Level range | Why catch it |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Panthalus | 7 | Aqua Tornado | 800 | Lv. 22–60 | Seven exclusives, more than any other Pal, and one of only six 800s in the game. |
Xenolord | 5 | Omega Laser | 700 | Lv. 15–50 | A complete five-skill kit from Lv. 15 up, all of it Dragon and Dark. |
Astralym | 4 | Paldium Explosion | 800 | Lv. 1–4 | The whole Paldium line before Lv. 5, including the fastest damage per second in Palworld. |
Hartalis | 3 | Sacred Rain | 800 | Lv. 30–50 | An 800 at Lv. 40 and a 700 at Lv. 30 — the earliest access to the top tier of any Pal here. |
Selyne | 3 | Seigetsu Flash | 700 | Lv. 30–70 | A three-step Neutral ladder that scales with you instead of arriving all at once. |
Shaolong | 3 | Celestial Vortex | 700 | Lv. 30–50 | Covers Water and Dragon on one body, which is rare for an exclusive kit. |
Anubis | 3 | Ground Smash | 500 | Lv. 22–40 | The best Ground kit available without a Lv. 70 grind. |
Starryon Primo | 2 | Royal Step | 800 | Lv. 40–70 | The two heaviest Melee skills in the game, and they cover each other's dead range. |
Silvance | 2 | Spore Burst | 800 | Lv. 50–70 | Grass's only 800 and only 700, both on the same Pal. |
Dandilord | 2 | Toxic Dance | 800 | Lv. 50–70 | Dark's ceiling plus a 700-power Melee follow-up. |
Moldron | 2 | Magma Laser | 700 | Lv. 50–70 | Fire's 700 and a 600 on one body; the Cryst form mirrors it in Ice. |
Panthalus and Xenolord are the two captures that change a box the most, but Hartalis is the practical pick — it reaches an 800-power skill at Lv. 40 while everything else in that tier makes you climb to 70. If you are early and want one of these now, Anubis is catchable long before the rest and its whole kit lands between Lv. 22 and 40.
Summary
Skill Fruits reach 92 of Palworld's 300 active skills, so 208 have no item behind them and must be levelled onto the Pal that owns them. Every skill above 700 power is in that fruitless group, 166 of them are locked to a single Pal, and breeding moves exactly one — Poison Fog. Before you plan a build around a skill, find it in the element tables above: if the Learned by column shows one Pal, that capture is the entire plan.
