How to Get the Rayne Syndicate Vertical Banner
The Rayne Syndicate Vertical Banner is the earliest faction banner in Palworld, unlocked at player Level 11 for one Technology Point. Here is the node it comes in, the full build cost down to raw ore and wool, the Standard bundled with it, and how it stacks up against the other seven faction flag sets.

The Rayne Syndicate Vertical Banner is the tall hanging cloth that puts the Syndicate's colours on your base wall, and it is the first faction banner anyone in Palworld can own — one Technology Point at player Level 11. This guide has the node it is buried in, the material bill down to raw wool and ore, the Standard that ships alongside it, and where it lands against the seven faction sets that unlock later.
Rayne Syndicate Vertical Banner at a Glance
You cannot buy the banner by itself. Search the tech tree for "Vertical Banner" and you will come up empty, because it lives inside a node called Rayne Syndicate Flag Set, which hands you two separate buildables at once: this wall-hung banner and the free-standing Rayne Syndicate Standard. One point buys both, and there is no way to end up with one and not the other. Here is the whole picture in one place.

How to Unlock the Rayne Syndicate Flag Set at Level 11
Hit player Level 11, open the Palworld technology tree, and spend 1 Technology Point on the Rayne Syndicate Flag Set. Nothing gates it: no parent node to buy first, no boss to kill, no Syndicate camp to clear. The catch is the queue behind it — seven nodes land on the Level 11 shelf and they add up to 12 points between them, so unless you have been hoarding, something on this row waits. The flag set is the easiest call on it. At one point it is a rounding error next to the High-Quality Workbench at three, and unlike the saddles and tools it never expires — you can leave the banner unbuilt for fifty levels and the node is still bought.
| Level 11 technology | Points | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| [[structicon:Hunter_Banner|Rayne Syndicate Flag Set]] | 1 | The Syndicate Standard and Vertical Banner |
| 1 | Two antique chairs and a stool, 10 Wood each | |
Lifmunk's Submachine Gun | 1 | Partner weapon for Lifmunk |

| Metal Axe | 2 | The second-tier axe |
| Metal Pickaxe | 2 | The second-tier pickaxe |
| 3 | Faster crafting station, 8 Ingot · 20 Wood · 10 Nail |
Build Materials and What They Cost in Raw Resources
The banner asks for 10 Ingot, 10 Fiber and 20 Cloth. Two of those are trivial — the Fiber is five Wood at a Primitive Workbench, and the Ingot is twenty Ore through a Primitive Furnace, which you unlocked one level earlier at Technology 10 for three points and 3 Flame Organ. The Cloth is what actually costs you: each one is two Wool, so twenty Cloth is 40 Wool for a single banner. Cloth itself is a Level 4 unlock, so nothing here needs new tech — only sheep.
| Material | Qty | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| 10 | Primitive Furnace, 2 Ore each — 1,632 copper nodes mapped | |
| 10 | Primitive Workbench, 1 Wood yields 2 — 4,654 lumber nodes mapped | |
| 20 | Primitive Workbench, 2 Wool each |
Where to Farm the 40 Wool
Wool comes off three Pals on a Ranch, and the Ranch is a Level 5 node, so this is a building you have almost certainly had for six levels by the time the banner unlocks. Lamball is the obvious pick and the reason this guide is easy: it is a Grassland starter, it has the widest spawn spread of the three, and one on a ranch will quietly stack 40 Wool while you do literally anything else. Melpaca and Cremis produce the same Wool with no quality difference, so use whichever you already caught — the only thing separating them is how often you trip over one in the wild.
| Wool Pal | Element | Spawn spots on the map |
|---|---|---|
Lamball | Neutral | 351 spawn spots |
Melpaca | Neutral | 270 spawn spots |
Cremis | Neutral | 200 spawn spots |
The Standard and the Small Flag
The Standard is the planted pole version and the other half of your one point. It doubles the metal to 20 Ingot — 40 Ore — while the wool and fiber stay put, so build the banner first if your ore is thin. Taking both costs 60 Ore, 10 Wood and 80 Wool all in. There is a third Syndicate piece too, the small Rayne Syndicate Flag, and it is not part of this node at all: 10 Wood and 2 Cloth, no Ingot, no tech point. If all you want is the gang's mark on a fence post, that one is nearly free.
| Piece | In the node? | Build materials | Raw cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yes, Tech 11 | 10 Ingot · 10 Fiber · 20 Cloth | 20 Ore · 5 Wood · 40 Wool | |
| Yes, Tech 11 | 20 Ingot · 10 Fiber · 20 Cloth | 40 Ore · 5 Wood · 40 Wool | |
| No, separate buildable | 10 Wood · 2 Cloth | 10 Wood · 4 Wool |
Who the Rayne Syndicate Are
Flying this one is a small joke at your own expense, because the Syndicate are the people who come to smash your base. They are the poacher gang of the starting regions, and they are the only raid faction that hits two biomes — Grassland and Desert camps both get Syndicate waves, which is most players' first base and second base. Their attacks escalate in five bands as your base grade climbs: six Level 10 thugs with handguns at the bottom, thirty attackers at Level 50 across three waves at the top, by which point the roster has picked up rocket launchers, laser rifles and gatling-gun Crushers. The payout climbs with them — the last band is worth over 106,000 XP, a guaranteed Training Crystal and up to 300 Dog Coin, which makes a well-defended Grassland base a genuinely good farm rather than a chore. Full wave lists are on the Palworld base raids page.
| Raid group | Base grade | Attackers | Waves | XP | Rewards |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Syndicate Patrol | 1–10 | 6 Thugs, Lv 10 | 1 | 120 | |
| Syndicate Scouting Party | 11–20 | 10 attackers, Lv 20 | 2 | 1,020 | |
| Syndicate Raiders | 21–40 | 21 attackers, Lv 32 | 3 | 5,575 | |
| Syndicate Elites | 41–60 | 24 attackers, Lv 42 | 3 | 25,350 | |
| Syndicate Legends | 61–80 | 30 attackers, Lv 50 | 3 | 106,470 |
All Eight Faction Flag Sets Compared
Every faction flag set in the game costs exactly one Technology Point, so the only real differences are when it unlocks and what the cloth is made of. The Syndicate set is the first one on the tree by a wide margin — nine levels clear of the Free Pal Alliance flag set at 20, and sixty clear of the Azure Covenant at 71. It is also the cheapest to actually build. The three earliest sets use plain Ingot; from PIDF upward everything switches to Refined Ingot, which drags Coal into the recipe, and the top four swap Cloth for High Quality Cloth at ten Wool and a Leather apiece. That is 200 Wool and 20 Leather for one Azure Covenant banner against 40 Wool for this one — a five-fold jump in the same slot on the wall. Note that the two island factions call their pieces Flag and Banner instead of Standard and Vertical Banner, but the node works identically.
| Faction set | Tech Lv | Points | Vertical banner materials |

Is the Banner Worth a Technology Point?
Short version: yes, but buy it and forget it. The banner does nothing mechanically — no defence, no work speed, no comfort — so this is decoration and nothing else, and at Level 11 you are choosing between it and tools that make your day faster. The saving grace is the price. One point is the floor, the node never becomes unavailable, and it is the only Level 11 purchase you can make without pushing the High-Quality Workbench back a level. Grab it on the way past, run a Lamball ranch, and put the Syndicate's colours up over the base they keep trying to burn down. If you want a base worth decorating first, start with the best base locations instead.
