How to Use the Monitoring Stand and All Upgrades

The Monitoring Stand is the structure that turns your base from a free-for-all into an organized workforce: station a Pal at it and you can issue work orders across the whole base — including allowing or outright banning specific kinds of work for individual Pals. It unlocks early, and its two upgrades ease the biggest cost of pushing your Pals hard: SAN drain. Here's each tier, what it adds, and what it costs.

How Work Orders Work

Interact with the stand and you get per-Pal control over the base workflow: you can steer a Pal toward the jobs you actually want done and ban the ones you don't — no more watching your best miner wander off to water crops. It's the fix for Pals ping-ponging between tasks. Pair it with the right workers and the base runs itself; the Best Pals for every base job rankings tell you exactly who to assign where.

TipPushing Pals harder burns through their sanity — that's the trade the upgrades exist to soften. If SAN keeps tanking, upgrade the stand, and stock food that restores sanity: Cake and other high-grade meals help a lot.

Is the Ancient Upgrade Worth It?

The Ancient Monitoring Stand lands at Tech Lv 71, right alongside other Soralite-hungry endgame projects like the Ancient Relic Recycler. Five Ancient Civilization Cores is a modest ask at that stage, and the payoff — a whole base of calm Pals under harsh workloads — is one of the better quality-of-life buys in the late game. If you're running a max-output production base, build it.
