List of Grass Skill Fruits: Stats and How to Get Them — Palworld Database

There are 11 Grass Skill Fruits in Palworld, and any Pal can eat any of them — element and level don't matter. This guide lists all 11 with the power, cooldown and damage per second of the skill they teach, the exact Battle Ticket and Gold prices, the drop chance out of every chest and fishing pool that carries them, the Ivy-Covered capture trick they set up, and which Pals already learn the move for free.

Grass Skill Fruits at a Glance

Grass is the fourth-largest fruit pool at 11, behind Dark and Electric on 13 and Water on 12, and it is the cleanest element to build around. Every single one of the 11 teaches a Shot skill, so there is no melee exception to trip over — whatever you buy scales off Shot Attack, full stop. It also has the widest target list in the game: Grass hits both Ground and Water Pals for bonus damage, which works out to 88 Pals once you count variants. No other element covers that many.

All 11 Grass Skill Fruits

Palworld has 34 Grass attacks in total and only these 11 exist as fruit. Of the other 23, 20 are signature skills welded to a single Pal — Silvance and Elgrove hold two apiece — and the last three (Raid Cutter, Bee Quiet and Wind Edge) are level-up only. So this table is the entire Grass toolkit you can put on a Pal of your choosing. Power runs 40 to 600, but power alone is the wrong way to shop: Solar Blast puts out the best sustained damage in the element at 450 power, beating the 600-power Wind Burst because it comes back 10 seconds sooner. The catch is reach — Solar Blast tops out at 1,800 range, so it wants a Pal that can hold position.

Grass Tornado20012s16.73,000UncommonTwo tornadoes launched at once, but it loses the 12-second slot to Spine Vine on every number
Multicutter1608s20.05,000UncommonThree wind blades in quick succession; the best 8-second Grass option by a wide margin

Wind Cutter402s20.05,000CommonTwo-second chip damage at full range; the filler slot on almost every early Grass build

All 11 share the same green fruit art in your inventory, so you can't tell them apart at a glance — check the tooltip, or use the sortable Palworld Skill Fruit database to match a fruit to its move before you feed it to something.

Power, Cooldown, and What Grass Is Good For

Element-wise, Grass is the answer to Ground and Water and folds to Fire, which makes a Grass carrier the obvious pick against Panthalus and Shaolong and a bad idea anywhere near Mount Obsidian. All 11 fruits apply Ivy-Covered on hit, but not equally: eight of them build the status at full strength, Grass Tornado applies about two-thirds, and Wind Cutter and Multicutter only about a third. That matters more than it sounds — see the capture section below.

The table below is the ceiling at each cooldown length, and Grass covers all eight of the game's timers from 2 seconds to 30. Two rows decide most builds. The 8-second row is unusually lopsided: Multicutter does 160 power at 20.0 damage per second while Seed Mine does 120 at 15.0 on the identical timer, so there is no reason to run Seed Mine for damage. The 20-second row is where the element peaks — Solar Blast is the highest sustained damage of any Grass fruit, and the only thing it gives up to Reflect Leaf is 2,200 of range.

30sWind Burst60020.01,200
TipDamage per second barely moves across the whole element — 15.0 at the bottom, 22.5 at the top, and most fruits parked near 20. So pick by reach, not by power. Grass has an awkward split: the two hardest hitters, Wind Burst at 1,200 range and Solar Blast at 1,800, both want you in close, while everything at 5,000 range hits softer. A practical loadout is Crosswind for the burst window at range, Spine Vine or Multicutter for the mid-timer, and Wind Cutter as the 2-second filler. Full numbers for every skill in the game are on the Palworld active skills database.

How to Get Grass Skill Fruits

Five routes exist and they are stacked unevenly. The headline: there is no such thing as a Grass-sealed chest. Elemental-sealed chests come in Fire, Water and Electric only, so the 109 sealed chests pinned across the map — the best per-open odds in the game for the elements that have them — hold nothing for you. What Grass gets instead is one of the most farmable Rares in the game. Solar Blast turns up in seven chest pools, six fishing pools and three field-drop pools, which means the element's best damage skill costs nothing but time. At the other extreme, Wind Burst drops from no chest, no fishing spot and no crate anywhere in the game — Arena tickets or relic recycling, and nothing else.

Arena Shop — Battle Tickets

Three Grass fruits sit permanently in the Arena Shop, and for one of them this is effectively the only route. Wind Burst at 45 tickets is the element's ceiling and its only guaranteed source, but read the skip table further down before you spend — 46 Pals learn it for free by levelling, several of them excellent carriers. Reflect Leaf at 30 tickets is the cheapest guaranteed Grass Rare in the game. Crosswind at 45 is the one worth the tickets if you want reach, because its only other source is a 0.94% fishing pull on Sunreach Isle. One naming quirk to watch: the shop lists the 45-ticket Rare as Wind Blast, but the skill it teaches is Wind Burst.

Skill FruitBattle TicketsPowerCooldownOther sources
Wind Burst4560030sRelic recycling only
Crosswind4550024sSunreach Isle fishing (0.94%), relic recycling
Reflect Leaf3040020sSunreach Isle fishing (0.94%), relic recycling

Tickets come from the arena itself, and the rank you fight at changes the maths completely: a Bronze rerun pays 1 ticket while a Legend rerun pays 15 to 25, so 45 tickets is either 45 Bronze rounds or two Legend ones. Clearing a rank for the first time pays a lump sum on top — 5 at Bronze up to 200 at Legend. The full round list is on the Palworld arena guide, and the rest of the Battle Ticket stock is listed on the Palworld merchant database.

Desert Merchant — Gold

Exactly one Grass fruit is buyable with plain Gold: Seed Mine at 3,000 Gold from the Desert merchant. It is also the worst damage deal in the element at 15.0 per second, and 26 Pals learn it for free — Braloha as early as level 7. The only argument for buying it is the Ivy-Covered build-up, which is full strength at 5,000 range, so it doubles as capture setup on a Pal that has no other Grass move. If that isn't what you're after, spend the Gold elsewhere and check what's actually worth buying from merchants first.

Region Chests and Oil Rig Crates

Which Grass fruits a chest can hold depends entirely on where it sits, and the pools split into three bands. Early regions carry the five cheap fruits, the mid band swaps in Solar Blast, and the late band — Sakurajima, Feybreak and Sunreach Isle — is the only place ordinary chests hold Circle Vine and Multicutter. The best deliberate farm in the table is the Snowfields at 1.64% across 178 pinned chests, because that pool contains Solar Blast. Small oil rig crates beat every chest in the game at 2.56% per open, but their pool is the five cheap fruits only — great for stocking the orchard, useless for chasing a Rare.

Yakushima chests draw on the same four-fruit pool as the Desert at the same 1.10%, so treat it as an extension of the mid band rather than its own farm. Skill Fruit Trees are the wildcard: 47 of them exist across the main map and the World Tree, and each hands you a fruit without a fight — but you don't get to pick the element, so run the tree route when you're passing anyway, not as a targeted Grass farm. All 47 are pinned on the Palworld interactive map.

Fishing Spots and Field Drops

Fishing mirrors the chest pools region for region at slightly worse rates, with one enormous exception. Sunreach Isle is the only fishing pool in the game that holds Crosswind and Reflect Leaf, which makes its 0.94% the single non-Arena route to two of the element's five Rares. Snowfields fishing is the better grind for Solar Blast at 1.61%, essentially matching its chest rate, and there are 367 ordinary fishing spots plus 102 rare ones pinned across the map.

Grass fruits also turn up as ordinary field loot, but the rates are decoration rather than a plan: Solar Blast sits between 0.032% and 0.039% in the Desert, Mount Obsidian and the Snowfields, with Seed Mine and Grass Tornado in the same band. You will find one eventually; you will never farm one on purpose.

Recycling Ancient Relics

Every grade of Ancient Relic can break down into a Grass fruit, and the output pool is all five Rares — Wind Burst, Crosswind, Solar Blast, Reflect Leaf and Circle Vine — plus Spine Vine. This is the only route that can hand you Wind Burst without spending Battle Tickets. The rate is the problem: each fruit sits between 0.012% and 0.024% per relic depending on grade, with Glistening relics the best of the five. Treat it as a bonus you notice while farming relics for something else — the Ancient Relic Recycler guide covers what else comes out of the machine.

Best Pals to Put Grass Skills On

Every Grass fruit teaches a Shot skill, so the only combat stat that matters here is Shot Attack — a Pal with monstrous Melee Attack gains nothing from a Crosswind fruit. Dandilord is the clear home for your best fruit at 135 Shot Attack, the highest of any Grass Pal, and its Dark typing gives it a second bonus matchup on top of the Grass one. Silvance is the value pick: 120 Shot Attack, the most HP of any carrier in the top Shot Attack tier at 140, and it learns two of the element's Rares for free. Ophydia is the durable option with 130 HP and 120 Defence, though its Water half means Electric attacks hurt twice as much.

Feeding a fruit ignores the Pal's element entirely, so a Grass skill on a high Shot Attack Pal of another element still works — Necromus at 145 Shot Attack out-damages every Grass Pal on raw numbers, you just lose the same-element bonus. Whether that trade is worth it depends on the fight, and the Palworld combat tier list is the faster way to decide. Fruits aren't refundable once eaten, so commit to the carrier before you commit the Rare.

Use Grass Fruits to Catch Pals

This is the part of the element most people never use. Every Grass move applies Ivy-Covered, and Souffline's partner skill adds capture power against any target already carrying that status — up to +5 at max rank. That turns a cheap Grass fruit into a capture tool: root the target, then throw. The catch is that build-up strength varies, and the two fastest fruits are the two worst at it. Wind Cutter fires every two seconds but only builds Ivy-Covered at about a third strength, so it is the wrong pick for setup even though it looks ideal on the timer.

Seed Machine GunFull4s300Fastest full-strength applier, but 300 range means point blank
Seed MineFull8s5,000The pick — full build-up from maximum range, and it's the one you can just buy
Spine VineFull12s5,000Doubles as your damage slot, so it costs you nothing to run
Circle VineFull16s5,000Works, but the 16-second timer is slow for a capture loop

MulticutterAbout a third8s5,000Great damage, poor setup — pair it with a full-strength applier
Wind CutterAbout a third2s5,000Fast enough to stack it up eventually, but it wastes the window
TipRun Seed Mine on your capture Pal and keep Souffline in the party for the passive bonus. Against a high-level target this stacks with sphere modules and it is one of the few capture-odds swings you can set up on purpose — the other statuses that do this are covered in the Palworld status effects guide.

Fruits You Can Skip

Grass is the element where buying fruit is most often a mistake, and the numbers are stark. Five of the 11 skills have an inheritance pool in the triple digits or close to it, and Solar Blast — the best damage skill in the element — can be inherited by 188 different Pals, the widest breeding pool of any Grass move. Worse for the Arena Shop: Wind Burst costs 45 tickets and is learned free by 46 Pals, including Silvance at level 30 and Dandilord at level 40 — the two best carriers in the element. The six fruits with a zero in the inheritance column are the honest purchases, because for those a fruit or a level-up is the only way in.

Skill FruitPals that learn it by levellingPals that can inherit itVerdict
Wind Burst4650Skip the 45 tickets — Silvance learns it at Lv. 30 and it's the most widely levelled skill in Grass
Crosswind1378Buy or breed — only 13 Pals level into it, but Silvance gets it at Lv. 22
Solar Blast34188Never buy — widest inheritance pool in the element and it drops from seven chest pools
Reflect Leaf882The best 30 tickets in the shop if you want it early; Silvance learns it at Lv. 7
Circle Vine13124Breed it — 124 Pals can inherit it and Dandilord levels into it at Lv. 15
Spine Vine190Fruit or level-up only — no breeding route exists for the best 12-second Grass skill
Grass Tornado320Don't chase it — 32 Pals level into it and Spine Vine beats it anyway
Multicutter370Worth grabbing — only 3 Pals ever level into it, and it owns the 8-second slot
Seed Mine260Skip the 3,000 Gold unless you want it purely as capture setup
Seed Machine Gun280Free on 28 Pals, Leafan from Lv. 1 — never spend anything on it
Wind Cutter370Free on 37 Pals, several of them from level 1 — Bristla has it at Lv. 1

If breeding is the cheaper path for most of this list, the inheritance rules are worth reading properly — how breeding works in Palworld covers which parent passes what, and the Palworld breeding calculator finds the pair.

Farm Your Own at the Skillfruit Orchard

Late in the game you can stop hunting fruits and start growing them. The Skillfruit Orchard unlocks at level 71 and costs 200 Mythical Wood, 500 Paldium Fragment and 150 Soralite to build — a genuine endgame bill, and the Mythical Wood is the slow part since relic recycling is the source. It needs a Pal with Watering to run. Plant a fruit and every harvest rolls a fixed table: 60% of cycles give nothing, 15% return the exact fruit you planted, and the remaining 25% splits between a Common, Uncommon or Rare fruit of the same element.

MaterialQtyWhere it comes from
Mythical Wood200Every grade of Ancient Relic recycles into it — guaranteed output
Paldium Fragment500Paldium Ore nodes — 711 of them pinned on the map
Soralite150Soralite nodes — 226 of them pinned on the map

The same-element rule is the whole point, and Grass benefits from it more than most. The orchard never crosses elements, so an orchard packed with the Wind Cutter and Seed Machine Gun fruits you stripped off oil rig crates is a slow drip-feed of Grass Rares at 3% a harvest — and Wind Burst is in that Rare pool. That makes it the only renewable Wind Burst source in the game that doesn't cost Battle Tickets. The full payout table is on the Skill Fruit database page.

TipSmall oil rig crates hand you the five cheap Grass fruits at 2.56% a pop, the best per-open rate anywhere in the game, and those cheap fruits are exactly what the orchard wants planted. Farm the rig for seed stock, not for skills.

Summary

If you take one thing away: don't spend Battle Tickets on Wind Burst. It's the element's hardest hit, but 46 Pals learn it free and both of your best carriers — Silvance at level 30 and Dandilord at level 40 — are among them. Farm Snowfields chests at 1.64% for Solar Blast, which is the best sustained damage in Grass, and put it on Dandilord's 135 Shot Attack. Spend tickets only on Reflect Leaf at 30 if you want a Rare early, or Crosswind at 45 if you need 5,000 range. And keep a Seed Mine carrier around — Ivy-Covered plus Souffline is free capture power that most players never turn on.
