List of Dragon Skill Fruits: Stats and How to Get Them — Palworld Database

Palworld has 8 Dragon Skill Fruits, and as a group they hit harder per second than any other element's pool. This guide covers all 8 with power, cooldown, damage per second and Burn build-up, the Battle Ticket prices, the chest odds region by region, and which of these moves your Pals were always going to learn on their own.

All 8 Dragon Skill Fruits

There are 93 Skill Fruits in Palworld and 8 of them are Dragon, tied with Ground for the smallest elemental pool in the game — Electric has 14, Water and Dark have 12 each. Small pool, high floor: average out the damage per second across all eight and Dragon lands at 20.1, the best of any element, with Dark bottom of the pile at 18.4. Nothing here is filler. Dragon Meteor at 600 power is the element's ceiling and ties with Fire Ball, Thunderstorm, Dark Whisp, Rocky Impact, Diamond Rain and Geyser Gush for the second-strongest single cast any fruit teaches — only Absolute Frost and Holy Burst go higher at 700. The one to actually look at, though, is Comet Strike, which quietly puts up the best damage per second in the element off an 8-second timer.

Skill FruitPowerCooldownDamage/secRarityWhy bring it
Dragon Meteor60030s20.0RareThe biggest single hit in the element and the only Dragon skill worth a 30-second wait
Charge Cannon40020s20.0RareWide-area explosion on impact, and only 4 Pals in the game learn it by leveling
Beam Slicer35016s21.9RareBest damage per second of the three Rares — the beam explodes a second time after it lands
Blast Cannon20012s16.7UncommonWeakest sustained damage here, and the hardest Dragon fruit in the game to actually obtain
Comet Strike1808s22.5UncommonTop damage per second in the element with full 5,000 reach — the value pick
Dragon Breath1608s20.0UncommonContinuous damage in a cone, but it caps out at 1,500 range
Dragon Burst804s20.0CommonA burst around the caster — 200 range means your Pal has to be in the enemy's face
Dragon Cannon402s20.0CommonFastest chip damage in the element and the cheapest Burn stacking you can get

One inventory quirk worth knowing before you go fruit hunting: all 8 share the same purple fruit art, so a chest haul is impossible to sort without reading tooltips. Names help — every one of them opens with "Dragon Skill Fruit:" — with one exception. The fruit for Comet Strike is listed as Dragon Skill Fruit: Comet in your bag, so if you are hunting the skill by name you will scroll straight past it. The sortable Palworld Skill Fruit database matches every fruit to the move it teaches.

Every Dragon Fruit Builds Burn

This is the element's real identity and it never shows up in a power column. All 8 Dragon skills apply Burn build-up, and Dragon shares that with exactly one other element — Fire. Grass builds Ivy-Covered, Ice builds Freeze, Water builds Soak, and none of those stack with anything else. So a Dragon fruit dropped onto a Fire team is not a side-grade, it is a second Burn applicator, and the two pools feed the same status bar. The build-up numbers are not uniform, which matters more than most players expect. Five of the eight apply the full 100 per hit; Dragon Burst applies 50, Dragon Cannon applies 35, and — awkwardly — the biggest hit in the element, Dragon Meteor, applies only 45. If your goal is to burn a boss down rather than nuke it, Dragon Meteor is the wrong tool: Comet Strike lands full build-up every 8 seconds against Dragon Meteor's 45 every 30. What Burn does once it lands is covered on the Palworld status effects guide.

Skill FruitBurn build-up per hitCooldownBuild-up per minute
Comet Strike1008s750
Dragon Breath1008s750
Blast Cannon10012s500
Beam Slicer10016s375
Charge Cannon10020s300
Dragon Burst504s750
Dragon Cannon352s1,050
Dragon Meteor4530s90

Read that last column and the cheapest fruit in the element turns into the best status tool in it. Dragon Cannon is 40 power, which is nothing, but on a 2-second timer it pushes more Burn per minute than anything else Dragon has — over eleven times what Dragon Meteor manages. That is the argument for keeping one cheap Dragon slot on a Pal whose other three moves are doing the actual damage.

Range, Class and What Each Skill Actually Does

Every Dragon fruit teaches a Shot skill, so all eight scale off the carrier's Shot Attack and none of them care about Melee Attack — Ground and Water are the only two elements with a Melee fruit skill between them. That makes carrier selection simple compared to other elements, but it also means range is the only thing separating the mid-tier fruits from the traps. Two of them are genuinely awkward. Dragon Burst reaches 200 units, which is close enough that your Pal has to be standing inside the enemy's swing to fire it — fine on a tanky bruiser, terrible on anything that gets one-shot. Dragon Breath caps at 1,500 and has a 500-unit minimum, so it only works in a narrow band. At the other end, Comet Strike drops a meteorite from directly above and reaches the full 5,000 with no minimum, which is why it plays well from anywhere on the field. Dragon Meteor also reaches 5,000 but wants 500 units of space first, so a Pal hugging a boss will fail to fire it.

Dragon Is the Answer to the Dark Roster

Dragon attacks deal bonus damage to Dark Pals and nothing else, and Dark is going the other way with nothing — the element that beats Dragon is Ice. That one-line matchup would be forgettable if Dark were a minor element, but it is where Palworld keeps its hardest fights. Of the raid bosses you can summon at an altar, five entries are Dark: Bellanoir at level 35, Bellanoir Libero at 45 and again at 80, and Xenolord at 65 and again at 80. A Dragon fruit is the cheapest way to bring super-effective damage to all five without rebuilding your team. Remember that the move decides the damage element, not the Pal. A Dragon skill fired by a Fire Pal still hits Dark for bonus damage, so you do not need a Dragon-typed carrier to exploit this — you just get a further damage bonus if the carrier's element matches the move. The full grid is on the Palworld type chart, and the fights themselves are broken down on the Palworld raid boss database.

Which Dragon Fruits Are Worth Buying

This is the section that saves you Battle Tickets. Dragon splits unusually cleanly: three of the eight are learned by only four Pals each, and the other five turn up on their own if your carrier is a Dragon. Dragon Breath is the extreme case — 19 Pals learn it by leveling and 259 more can inherit it through breeding, the second-largest inheritable pool of any skill in the game, so buying it is close to pointless. The fruits that earn their price are Charge Cannon, Beam Slicer and Blast Cannon. Four Pals learn each of them, and for Blast Cannon that is the whole story: no shop sells it, no egg passes it down, and only Aegidron, Eidrolon Ignis, Shaolong and Silvegis ever learn it. If you want Blast Cannon on anything else, a fruit is the only route in the game.

Skill FruitPals that learn it by levelingUsual levelInheritable egg moveWorth the fruit?
Dragon Meteor2250 for 13 of them188 PalsYes — 600 power decades before a level-50 unlock
Charge Cannon422 or 40106 PalsYes — almost nothing learns it, and no chest anywhere drops it
Beam Slicer415 to 55, all different131 PalsYes — 30 tickets for the best sustained Rare in the element
Blast Cannon47 to 30, all differentNoneOnly route — no shop, no egg, four learners
Comet Strike815 to 40126 PalsYes — the element's best damage per second, and no shop stocks it
Dragon Breath1922 or 30 for 15 of them259 PalsNo — the second-biggest egg pool in the game will hand it to you
Dragon Burst161 to 15 for 13 of themNoneRarely — Dragon Pals get it early and 200 range limits it anyway
Dragon Cannon181 or 7 for all of them193 PalsNo — every Dragon Pal has it before level 7

The breeding column is where Dragon differs most from the other elements. Six of the eight sit in large inheritable pools — Dragon Breath in 259 Pals, Dragon Cannon in 193, Dragon Meteor in 188 — so if you are already running egg cycles for passives, most of the element arrives as a side effect — the pairings are on the Palworld breeding calculator. Blast Cannon and Dragon Burst cannot be inherited at all, which is why the cheap-looking Blast Cannon is the genuinely scarce one.

TipPick the carrier by what it fails to learn, not by what it is. Xenolord has 120 Shot Attack and learns exactly one Dragon skill by leveling — Dragon Cannon at level 1 — so every fruit you feed it is a genuine upgrade. Same story for Orserk at 130 Shot Attack with only Dragon Breath, and Shaolong at 135, the second-highest Shot Attack of any Dragon Pal, which never learns anything above 200 power. Feeding Dragon Meteor to Jetragon is the wasteful move — it picks that up at level 50 on its own.

How to Get Dragon Skill Fruits

Six routes exist, and Dragon is the one element you can finish at a shop counter. All three Dragon Rares are stocked in the Arena Shop — no other element has its full Rare tier buyable, and Ice only offers one of its four. The catch sits one tier down: nothing Uncommon or Common in the element is sold anywhere, for tickets or for Gold, so Comet Strike and Blast Cannon have to be farmed no matter how much money you have.

Arena Shop — Battle Tickets

105 Battle Tickets buys the complete Rare Dragon set, and stock does not rotate, so tickets keep their value while you grind. Order of purchase matters though. Beam Slicer at 30 is the best first buy — same price as Charge Cannon, less power but a shorter timer, which nets more damage over a long fight and more Burn build-up per minute. Charge Cannon is the second buy purely because no treasure chest in the game contains it; outside this counter your only options are Sunreach Isle fishing spots and Ancient Relics. Save Dragon Meteor at 45 for last unless you specifically want the burst — 22 Pals learn it by leveling, nearly three times the other two Rares combined.

Skill FruitBattle TicketsPowerCooldownRange
Dragon Meteor4560030s500–5,000
Charge Cannon3040020s0–4,000
Beam Slicer3035016s0–4,000

Battle Tickets come from arena rounds — which round pays what is listed on the Palworld arena guide. It is worth saying plainly that no Gold merchant anywhere sells a Dragon fruit. The Desert, Volcano and Wander shops stock nine Skill Fruits between them and not one is Dragon, so there is no shortcut for the other five; the full stock lists are on the Palworld merchant database.

Region Chests and Fishing Spots

Chests are the bulk route and the pools split hard by region. The three late regions — Sakurajima, Feybreak and Sunreach Isle — are the only places in the game where Beam Slicer, Blast Cannon and Comet Strike appear in a chest, and all three sit at 1.49% per chest. Feybreak is the one to farm: 201 pinned chests against Sakurajima's 68 and Sunreach Isle's 76, at identical odds. A full Feybreak sweep averages about three copies of any one of those five. The early and mid regions run a completely different pool. Grasslands and Forest chests hold only the two Commons plus Dragon Breath, and at 0.59% and 0.50% they are the worst odds on the map. Snowfields has the single best per-chest rate in the game for Dragon at 1.64% across 178 chests, but its pool caps out at Dragon Meteor, Dragon Breath and Dragon Burst. Fishing spots pull from near-identical regional pools at slightly lower rates across 367 pinned spots, so they are free progress while working through the Palworld fishing guide.

RegionChest pinsDragon fruits in the poolChance per chest
Grasslands177Dragon Cannon, Dragon Burst, Dragon Breath0.59%
Forest247Same three as Grasslands0.50%
Desert263Dragon Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Burst1.10%
Mount Obsidian137Same three as Desert1.10%
Snowfields178Same three as Desert1.64%

Feybreak201Same five as Sakurajima1.49%
Sunreach Isle76Same five as Sakurajima1.49%
Yakushimano pinned layerDragon Meteor, Dragon Breath, Dragon Burst1.10%

Dragon fruits also turn up as plain field loot, but barely. Comet Strike sits at 0.03% around Sakurajima, and Dragon Breath and Dragon Burst at 0.04% in the Snowfields. Those rates are far too thin to chase on purpose — they only explain the occasional free fruit you find lying on the ground.

Oil Rig Crates

For the bottom three fruits, oil rig crates are the best odds in the game: 2.56% per crate for Dragon Cannon, Dragon Burst and Dragon Breath each, more than four times a Grasslands chest and over 50% better than the best chest anywhere. There are 56 crates on the oil rig crate map layer and they respawn, which makes rigs the only genuinely repeatable Dragon farm once you can handle the guards. The limit is the pool — not a single Rare is in it and Dragon Breath is the only Uncommon, so a rig run will never hand you Beam Slicer or Comet Strike. If you are farming Burn build-up rather than raw power, that is fine: Dragon Cannon is the best per-minute Burn tool in the element and this is the fastest way to stock it.

Skill Fruit Trees and Caverns

Skill Fruit Trees hand you a fruit with no fight attached — 35 are pinned on the main map plus 12 more in the World Tree, all on the Skill Fruit tree map layer. You do not get to pick the element, so treat trees as something you clear on the way past rather than a Dragon plan. Caverns work the same way, with 6 of the cavern types spawning skill fruit pickups: Astral Mountains Cavern, Cavern of the Dunes, Hillside Cavern, Mountain Stream Grotto, Ravine Grotto and Volcanic Cavern. Full contents for each are on the Palworld dungeon database.

Skillfruit Orchard — Turning One Dragon Fruit Into More

This is the route that matters most for Dragon specifically, because it is the only one that upgrades a fruit's rarity. Plant any fruit at the Skillfruit Orchard and each harvest cycle rolls one of five outcomes: 60% nothing, 15% the exact fruit you planted, 15% a Common of the same element, 7% an Uncommon, and 3% a Rare. Since it stays inside the element, planting a spare Dragon Cannon is a 3% roll at Dragon Meteor, Charge Cannon or Beam Slicer and a 7% roll at Blast Cannon or Comet Strike — which is the only repeatable way to get Blast Cannon outside of clearing late-region chests. Dragon Cannon is also the cheapest fruit to keep planting, since oil rig crates print it at 2.56% a crate. The gate is tech level 71, so this is an endgame build rather than something you set up early. It also wants Watering Pals assigned — the best ones are listed on the best base Pals guide.

Recycling Ancient Relics

Every grade of Ancient Relic can break down into six of the eight Dragon fruits — the three Rares plus Blast Cannon, Comet Strike and Dragon Burst. Be honest about the rate though: even Glistening relics, the best of the five grades, sit at roughly 0.02% per relic for any one fruit, which is about one in four thousand. Treat it as something you notice while farming relics for other reasons, never as a Charge Cannon plan. The setup is covered in the Ancient Relic Recycler guide.

The Short Version

Spend 60 Battle Tickets on Beam Slicer and Charge Cannon first, because four Pals in the game learn each and Charge Cannon is in no chest anywhere. Farm Feybreak's 201 chests for Comet Strike and Blast Cannon, the two fruits no shop will ever sell you. Skip Dragon Breath and Dragon Cannon entirely unless you want cheap Burn stacking — breeding and level-ups hand both over for free. Then point the lot at the Dark raid bosses, which is the only matchup Dragon actually wins.
