Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor Schematic Location and Stats — Palworld Database

Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor is the joint-strongest body armor in Palworld — 840 defence, 2,400 bonus HP and 25,000 durability, with the best heat rating anything wearable gets. Finding its Legendary schematic is a completely different job from every other armor line, though, because no supply drop stocks it and no Pal drops it. This guide covers the full stat card at Technology Lv 75, all four schematic tiers and the exact World Tree sources that roll them, the Ancient Relic Recycler odds, and what 30 Paloxite Ingot, 5 AI Core and 6 Thermal Core really cost once you trace the chain down.

Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor Stats

840 defence is the ceiling — nothing you can equip in Palworld goes higher, and only the other two climate variants of Ancient Armor match it. It clears the plain Ancient Armor by 40 while weighing five less, which is the rare upgrade that costs you nothing to carry. The resistance package is where it really separates: Heat 3, and only one other body armor in the game reaches that. Cold 2 rides along on top, so this isn't a specialist suit you swap out the moment you leave the lava — it's warm-weather armor that still handles the snow better than most cold-specific gear.

Armor defence only means anything measured against other armor, so read 840 against the body slot and not against any weapon number. In that class it's the top of the tree with room to spare: Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor at 600 is the closest heat rival twelve tech levels earlier, and the whole rest of the heat family sits at 400 or below. The 25,000 durability is the other quiet headline — no Common-rarity craft in the game beats it, and the only thing that edges past it at all is a Legendary-rarity Pal Metal Armor at 26,000.

Where the Legendary Schematic Drops

Here's the thing that catches people out: the Ancient Armor family is split in half, and only one half is in supply drops. The Ancient Helm and the base Ancient Armor roll out of Sky Island supply drops at 0.14% for the Legendary tier. The three climate variants — heat, cold and lightweight — appear in no supply pool at all, in any region. Their schematics come from the World Tree and nowhere else, through three source types, and the top three tiers get one extra route that Schematic 1 doesn't.

Schematic 2RareAll 5 relic gradesBoth spot typesYesNoneNone
Schematic 3EpicAll 5 relic gradesBoth spot typesYesNoneNone
Schematic 4LegendaryAll 5 relic gradesBoth spot typesYesNoneNone

Two rows in that table are worth staring at. The Tier 5 map digs column is inverted from what you'd expect — the basic Schematic 1 is the one tier a top-grade dig can't pay out, so a dig that hits this line always hits it at Rare or better. And the two right-hand columns being empty all the way down is the real story: this is one of only seven Legendary schematics in the game locked entirely behind World Tree loot, sharing that pool with Beam Scatter, Drone Launcher, Plasma Rifle, Beam Launcher and the two sibling armors. There are 113 Legendary schematics in Palworld and the vast majority of them have a supply beacon or a boss attached; this one has neither.

The Ancient Relic Recycler Route

The Ancient Relic Recycler is the only source here with anything like a repeatable rhythm, and it's the one to build your farm around. It unlocks at Technology Lv 74 for 3 Technology Points, needs 800 power and one Handiwork Pal, and every relic you feed it returns guaranteed Mythical Wood and Paloxite plus a bonus roll. The bonus roll is what you're actually here for, and the relic grade swings it by more than a hundred times over.

Gorgeous Ancient RelicRareClimbing5–75–10
Glowing Ancient RelicEpicClimbing7–95–10
Glistening Ancient RelicLegendaryRoughly 1 in 59–115–10

Only the bottom row is a real farm. At around one schematic per five Glistening relics the machine fires often enough that the rarity split underneath it — roughly four in five landing on Schematic 1, about one in a hundred on the Legendary — actually gets attempts. Feed it Decayed relics at 1-in-750 and you'll be there all week for a scroll you could have combined instead. There's a second reason to hoard the top grade: 151 different items can come out of a Glistening relic, including the Ancient Civilization Cores this armor's AI Cores eat five of, so the schematic hunt and the material hunt are genuinely the same trip. When the schematic roll does hit, it picks one of the seven families at random, so a hit lands on this armor about one time in seven.

World Tree Fishing: 77 Spots That Roll It

This is the source nobody guesses, and for a Legendary armor schematic it's absurdly low-effort. Both World Tree fishing pools stock all four tiers of this line — the ordinary spots and the rarer treasure spots — which is 77 pins you can work through at zero combat risk while the recycler grinds at home. The catch is pool depth: the treasure spots pull from a wider table, so any single cast there is spread thinner even though the payouts are better on average.

Read the middle column as a rough measure of how diluted each pull is. The plain fishing spots have the tightest table of the four at 57 entries, which makes them the best per-cast odds for this specific schematic even though the treasure spots feel more rewarding. The tier 5 dig sits in the middle at 97 items but only pays the three upper tiers, and the recycler's 151-item table is the widest of the lot — offset entirely by how often you can pull the lever. Practical answer: fish the ordinary spots, recycle the Glistening relics, and dig every top-grade map you find. Everything pinned above is on the Palworld interactive map.

Why No Boss and No Beacon Drops It

Twenty-three Legendary schematics in the whole game sit on a Pal's loot table, every one of them at a flat 3%, and only eight are armor — five body pieces and three helmets, topping out at Paladius and his Hexolite schematic. None of them is Ancient. There is no Alpha, no tower boss and no raid you can farm for this scroll, which is unusual for a top-tier item and worth knowing before you waste a weekend on it. The rest of the Ancient set is a useful contrast, because the two Sky Island pieces are farmable in exactly the way this one isn't.

Cold-Resistant Ancient Armor84077NoneWorld Tree only — recycler, fishing, tier 5 digs
Lightweight Ancient Armor84079NoneWorld Tree only — recycler, fishing, tier 5 digs

The split is clean and it dictates your route. If you're grinding Sky Island supply drops hoping to eventually see a heat schematic, you are farming the wrong region entirely and always will be — nothing in that pool contains it. The Sky Island pieces are the ones that reward beacon camping at 0.14%, and they're worth banking anyway since the base Ancient Armor at 800 defence is only 40 short of this one and lands seven tech levels earlier. Wear that while you hunt this. The full picture across all five pieces is in the legendary Ancient Armor guide.

Build It Instead: The Drafting Table Route

With no beacon and no boss, the Drafting Table isn't a fallback here — it's the primary plan, and this line supports the whole ladder with no missing rungs. It unlocks way back at Technology Lv 45 for 4 Technology Points, costs 20 Refined Ingot, 10 High Quality Wooden Board and 30 Charcoal, and merges five identical schematics into one of the next rarity up. By the time you're anywhere near the World Tree it has been sitting in your base for thirty levels.

TargetCombine costEquivalent in Schematic 1sGlistening relics needed
Schematic 2Schematic 15~175
Schematic 3Schematic 225~875
Schematic 4 - LegendarySchematic 3125~4,375

That right-hand column is an estimate, not a hard figure — it chains the recycler's roughly-1-in-5 schematic rate with the one-in-seven family split, which works out to about 35 Glistening relics per schematic that lands on this line, and then counts every landing as one Schematic 1. In practice you'll do better than 4,375, because roughly one hit in five arrives at Rare or higher and skips whole rungs of the ladder. What the number really tells you is the shape of the grind: this is a four-figure relic project, not a weekend, and every fishing pull and map dig you fold in shortens it. Combine only at the top of the ladder, hoard Schematic 3s until you're holding five, and don't burn Schematic 1s early — those are exactly the ones you'll want back when a lucky Epic drops and leaves you one short. The schematic upgrade guide has the full combine rules.

TipCraft the Common version the day you hit Tech Lv 75 instead of waiting on a rarity roll. Every tier of this armor grants the identical Heat 3 protection — rarity moves defence and HP, never the temperature rating — so a Common suit you're wearing tonight beats a Legendary schematic you haven't rolled. And if all you need is to stop overheating, a Heat Resistant Undershirt carries the same Heat 3 rating in an accessory slot for 2 weight, off nothing rarer than 20 Wool, 25 Leather, 35 Fiber and 15 Flame Organ.

How to Craft Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor

The recipe is only three lines long and it is still, comfortably, the most expensive armor build in the game. Everything happens at the Ancient Workbench, which unlocks at Technology Lv 67 and wants 50 Soralite Ingot, 5 AI Core and 20 Bio Battery to build plus 2,000 power to run — so the bench alone is a project. Note that the AI Cores appear twice: five to build the workbench, then five more per suit.

Expand those three rows one level and the real bill appears: 130 Soralite Ore, 100 Pure Quartz, 60 Paloxite, 30 World Tree Holy Water, 25 Computers, 5 Ancient Civilization Cores and 16 Thermal Cores — because the AI Cores quietly demand ten more Thermal Cores on top of the six in the recipe. Those 16 cores alone eat 64 Flame Organ, 128 Coal, 32 Corrosive Solvent and 32 Stainless Steel Ingot. Nothing on that list is rare in the sense of being hard to find; it's rare in the sense of taking a very long time.

The Real Cost Is Work, Not Materials

Material counts undersell this build badly. Add up the crafting work for the armor and every crafted component beneath it and one suit takes roughly 104,750,000 work units — the armor's own 500,000 is less than half a percent of that. The AI Core line is the culprit: 5,000,000 work each on top of the Soralite Ingots and Computers feeding them. Plan around this table, not the material list.

StepQtyWork eachWork total
Soralite Ingot (for the AI Cores)50700,00035,000,000
Paloxite Ingot301,000,00030,000,000
AI Core55,000,00025,000,000
Thermal Core16500,0008,000,000
Computer25250,0006,250,000
Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor1500,000500,000

And that total still stops one layer short — the Plastic, Carbon Fiber, Circuit Boards and Bio Batteries under those 25 Computers aren't counted, nor is the Corrosive Solvent and Stainless Steel under the Thermal Cores. The practical takeaway is that your base is the bottleneck, not your inventory: stack Handiwork Pals on the Ancient Workbench, run a second bench if you can power it, and start the Soralite Ingot and Computer batches long before you have the schematic. Every build cost and worker requirement is on the Palworld structures list.

Sourcing the World Tree Materials

Two of the three ingot ingredients only exist in one place, which is convenient — the same World Tree trips that hunt the schematic also fill the material bag. Paloxite comes out of field drops and out of every relic you recycle, scaling 1–3 from a Decayed relic to 9–11 from a Glistening one, so the recycler pays your ingot bill while it rolls for the scroll. World Tree Holy Water is field drops only, 5–10 a pickup, and you need 30. Soralite Ore is the odd one out: it's a Sky Island resource, and the fastest route to 130 of it isn't mining at all.

MaterialNeededBest source
Soralite Ore130Sky Island supply drops pay 30–40 at 100% — plus 226 Soralite nodes

Ancient Civilization Core5Oil rig crates 1–5, or 5–10 per relic from Dormant grade up
Flame Organ64Fire Pal drops — Bushi Noct pays 4–8 at 100%

The first row is the shortcut most people miss. A Sky Island supply drop hands over 30 to 40 Soralite Ore at a guaranteed 100%, so four or five beacons cover the entire 130 without swinging a pickaxe — and you'd be camping those beacons anyway for the Ancient Armor and Ancient Helm schematics at 0.14%. The Ancient Civilization Core row is the other freebie: five is a trivial number when a single Dormant-or-better relic pays 5–10, so the recycler covers that line the moment you switch it on. Only the 100 Pure Quartz sends you somewhere unrelated, and 607 nodes makes it a time cost rather than a luck one.

Can You Even Build It Yet?

Technology Lv 75 is the headline gate, but five supporting nodes sit underneath it and every one of them is a station you have to build and power. Work down this checklist before you go schematic hunting, because a Legendary scroll in your bag does nothing until the bench, the furnace and the ingots exist to use it. The whole run costs 27 Technology Points, all of them the ordinary kind rather than the Ancient ones you pry out of tower bosses.

The power draw is the trap in that list. The Ancient Furnace at 3,000 and the Ancient Workbench at 2,000 are two of the hungriest structures in the game and you need both running at once to make any progress — that's a generator problem before it's a materials problem. Sequence-wise it's kind, though: the recycler lands at Lv 74, one level before the armor, so the moment you can farm the schematic you can also craft the suit. The full tree is on the Palworld technology page.

How It Compares to Every Other Heat Armor

Eight body armors carry heat resistance and they run from Technology Lv 9 to Lv 75. This one is the top of that ladder on every column at once — defence, HP, durability and rating — which almost never happens in Palworld's gear tree. The interesting comparison isn't the top of the table, it's the middle: Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor gives the identical Heat 3 rating twelve tech levels earlier for a fraction of the build, so the 240 extra defence is what you're actually paying 104 million work for.

Read the last column before the first one. Everything from the Tropical Outfit at Tech 9 up to Plasteel at Tech 53 gives the same Heat 2 protection — climbing that ladder never makes you cooler, it only makes you harder to kill while you're hot. If the weather is your only complaint the Tropical Outfit solves it at Tech 9 for 4 weight. What you're buying at Tech 75 is survivability against the things that live in those places, and it's the one heat suit that asks for no compromise on weight either — 35 is mid-table, five lighter than the Pal Metal tier twenty-seven levels below it. Every armor piece in the game is compared on the armor database.

What a Legendary Version Actually Gains

Rarity raises the crafted armor's numbers, and every armor family in Palworld climbs on the same four multipliers — ×1.3, ×1.4, ×1.5 and ×1.6 of the Common's defence, with the HP bonus rising on an identical curve. Pocketpair hasn't published the upgraded Ancient recipes, so the numbers below are that curve applied to 840 rather than measured figures. The shape is reliable even if the last digit isn't.

RarityDefence - estimatedHP bonus - estimatedMultiplier
Common8402,400Base — the only certain row
Uncommon~1,092~3,120×1.3
Rare~1,176~3,360×1.4
Epic~1,260~3,600×1.5
Legendary~1,344~3,840×1.6

840 is the only number in that table that's certain, so treat the rest as close estimates. Durability is left out deliberately — the Common already sits at 25,000, which is higher than most families reach even at Legendary, and the upgrade curve for durability isn't a clean multiplier anywhere in the game. What the estimate does settle is whether the grind is worth it: a Legendary at roughly 1,344 defence would put you about 60% above a suit that is already the strongest thing in the game, and around 120% above a Common Heat Resistant Hexolite Armor. Each rarity step also stacks an accuracy bonus the Common version doesn't have, and adds Ancient Civilization Parts to a recipe that is already brutal.

Heat, Cold or Lightweight: Which Ancient Suit First?

All three climate variants share the exact same 840 defence, 2,400 HP, 25,000 durability and 35 weight, and all three roll out of the same World Tree sources at the same rates — so there is no farming decision to make, only a crafting one. Build whichever matches where you're spending your time, and know that the heat version unlocks first by two tech levels over cold and four over lightweight. Its third material is also the cheapest of the three to produce in bulk.

The third-material row is what actually decides the order. Six Thermal Cores is a small number next to fifty of anything, and while those cores are expensive to make, the cold and lightweight suits want fifty units of a crafted consumable each — a far longer batch even though each unit is cheaper. Lightweight then piles on two extra AI Cores, which at 5,000,000 work apiece makes it the most expensive of the three by a wide margin and explains its higher gold value. Build heat first, cold second, and treat lightweight as the completionist pick unless hauling is genuinely your bottleneck.

The Short Answer

There is no supply drop and no boss for this one — the Heat-Resistant Ancient Armor schematic exists only in World Tree loot, unlike the Ancient Armor and Ancient Helm schematics that roll at 0.14% off Sky Island beacons. Farm it three ways: the [[page:/guides/ancient-relic-recycler|Ancient Relic Recycler]] at Tech Lv 74, where a Glistening relic rolls a schematic roughly one time in five; the 77 World Tree fishing spots, 55 ordinary and 22 treasure, which stock all four tiers at no risk; and tier 5 treasure map digs, which pay Schematic 2 and up but never Schematic 1. Bank everything and let the Drafting Table do the rest — five Schematic 1s make a 2, and 125 make a Legendary. Craft the Common the day you hit Tech Lv 75: 30 Paloxite Ingot, 5 AI Core and 6 Thermal Core on the Ancient Workbench, which traces down to about 104.75 million work units and roughly 130 Soralite Ore, 100 Pure Quartz, 60 Paloxite and 64 Flame Organ. It's the strongest armor in Palworld at 840 defence and it costs exactly what that implies.
