All Craftable Items and How to Unlock Them: Full List — Palworld Database

Palworld gates almost everything you own behind a recipe, and there are 588 technologies in the tree handing those recipes out — 216 base structures and 372 things you actually carry. This page lists every craftable item by category with the level it unlocks at, what it costs in technology points and the exact materials, plus the four different routes a recipe can take into your crafting menu.

How Many Craftable Items Are in Palworld

The honest answer is that the Palworld technology tree is mostly base building — structures are 37% of it on their own. Of the rest, Pal gear is by far the biggest group: 184 technologies, and 109 of those are saddles and harnesses for individual Pals, which is why the tree feels endless in the level 20-50 stretch. Weapons are the second biggest block at 88, armor a distant fourth at 43.

Unlocking every single one costs 1,413 Technology Points and 185 Ancient Technology Points, and the two pools never convert into each other. Note that the point columns below only compare within the tree — an Ancient point is far harder to earn than a normal one, so 185 of them is the bigger bill despite the smaller number.

The Four Ways a Recipe Unlocks

Not every recipe lives in the technology tree, and that trips people up constantly. There are four separate routes, and knowing which one a craft uses tells you whether to spend points, kill a boss, loot a chest or just build a bench.

The Technology Tree: 537 Normal Technologies

This is the default route and it covers 537 of the 588 entries. Each unlock has a player level attached and a flat point price, and nothing on the normal side of the tree costs more than five points — 298 of them cost one or two. The bill is front-loaded on your level rather than your wallet, so the real constraint is levelling, not saving. If you are short, every source of Technology Points covers the manuals and milestone rewards that top you up.

Ancient Technology: 51 Entries, 185 Ancient Points

The 51 Ancient technologies sit in their own tab and only accept Ancient Technology Points, which come from tower bosses and the Ancient Technical Manual. They are also the only expensive unlocks in the game: they scale up to 9 points for the Wing Pack at level 80, where a normal technology tops out at five. Almost everything in this pool has no normal-tech substitute — the movement accessories, the lockpicks, the sphere launchers and the ancient production lines. See the best Ancient Technology to buy first before you commit points. In every table below, a point cost printed in bold is an Ancient Technology Point rather than a normal one.

Schematics You Find in the World

Weapons and armor have a second, parallel unlock system. The tree gives you the base version; 590 schematic items exist on top of that, each one unlocking a higher-rarity build of a weapon or armor piece you already know. Schematics drop from chests, dungeon caches, bosses and supply drops rather than being bought with points, which is why two players at the same level can be carrying wildly different gear. Every schematic and where it drops has the full drop list, and the Drafting Table lets you fuse duplicates upward.

Recipes That Come With the Station, Not the Tree

A few of the most-used materials in the game never appear as a technology at all. Ingot, Refined Ingot and Pal Metal Ingot arrive with the furnace tiers; Flour comes with the Mill; Charcoal smelts the moment you have any furnace. If you are combing the tree for a recipe you are certain exists and cannot find it, it is attached to a building instead — the Palworld crafting guide maps which bench owns which recipe list.

All 21 Craftable Materials

Refined materials are the spine of every later craft, and the work column is the one to read — it is the crafting workload each unit costs, and it explodes by a factor of ten thousand across the list. Cloth at 500 is instant; AI Core at 5,000,000 is a base project you plan around. Three unlocks matter far more than their level suggests: Nail at 10 gates almost all early building, Cement at 19 gates stone construction, and Carbon Fiber at 35 feeds everything electronic that follows.

The late half of the list is a chain rather than a menu — Polymer feeds Circuit Board, Circuit Board and Bio Battery feed Computer, and Computer plus Soralite Ingot feed AI Core. Unlock them out of order and you will sit on a recipe you cannot run. Remember that the plain ingots are missing here on purpose: they come with the furnaces.

All 16 Craftable Spheres and Modules

Ten spheres and six modules, and the ladder is unusually clean: every tier costs Paldium Fragment plus a better metal, so the real gate is which ingot you can smelt. The jump worth planning for is Legendary Sphere at level 44 — it is the first sphere to ask for Pal Metal Ingot, and it is the tier most players stay on for the rest of the run.

Modules are the other half and they are priced very differently. Heavy Weight Module at level 19 is a single point and a pile of common stone; Homing Module at 69 wants 3 AI Cores and 10,000,000 work. They bolt onto whatever sphere you throw, so one module carries across every tier above it. All sphere modules compared breaks down what each one actually does to your catch rate.

All 92 Craftable Weapons and Tools

Weapons are the block you will spend the most points on — 266 across the 88 technologies in the weapon category, six of them Ancient, and the four Grappling Gun upgrades filed in the Ancient tab bring the real total to 92. They split into four very different shopping lists, so they are broken out below. One rule applies to all of them: the tree only ever gives you the base rarity. Every gun and blade here has higher builds locked behind schematics, and a Legendary schematic version of an early weapon will out-damage the base version of something twenty levels later.

Tools and Utility (22)

Tools are the cheapest useful unlocks in the game and the ones to buy on sight. The axe and pickaxe ladder runs four tiers and each step cuts real time off every node you touch, while the Plasma Multicutter at 54 ends the ladder entirely. The Grappling Gun at 12 is the single best point you will ever spend — one Ancient point for permanent traversal — and the three fishing rods gate the whole fishing loop. Its four upgrades are Ancient technologies filed outside the weapon list, but they are the same tool, so they are listed here. The three sphere launchers sit here too: they throw Pal Spheres at range instead of dealing damage, and all three are Ancient unlocks.

Melee Weapons (17)

Melee is the budget line: clubs, spears and swords cost two or three points apiece and stay usable far longer than they look. Stone Spear at level 3 carries the entire opening of the game, and the spear line keeps upgrading with your metal all the way to Enhanced Lily's Spear at 68. Stun Baton at 22 is the outlier worth grabbing regardless of build — it is a capture tool disguised as a weapon.

Bows, Guns and Rifles (35)

This is where the points go. The makeshift line at levels 24-31 is the cheap way into firearms and runs on materials you already have, then everything above level 45 starts demanding Carbon Fiber, Polymer and Circuit Boards, which is the real reason people stall out there. Note that attack numbers only compare inside a weapon class — a bow's damage figure is not a rifle's — so use the best weapon at every tech level rather than reading across the list.

Grenades and Launchers (18)

The elemental grenade set is nine throwables at two points each, and they are the cheapest way to exploit a type weakness without rebuilding your loadout. Pal Recovery Grenade at 32 is the one non-damage entry and it quietly solves boss fights where your mount keeps dying. The launchers below them are endgame buys at three to five points, and the earliest — Meteor Launcher at 38 — is the cheapest way into explosive damage by a wide margin.

All 43 Craftable Armor Pieces and Shields

Armor is the shortest list here and the most repetitive, because each tier ships in up to four flavours: plain, heat resistant, cold resistant and lightweight. You do not need all of them. Buy the plain version of your current metal, then add whichever resistance the region you are heading into demands — the full armor upgrade path shows where each tier stops being worth the ingots.

Armor and Helmets (36)

The metal ladder is Pelt → Metal → Refined Metal → Pal Metal → Plasteel → Hexolite → Ancient, and each step arrives roughly every ten levels. Metal Armor at 23 is the first genuinely protective set; Pal Metal Armor at 46 is the one most players ride into the endgame. The resistance variants cost the same points as the plain set, so they are a materials decision rather than a point decision.

All 30 Craftable Ammo Types and Arrows

Every firearm in the game runs on its own ammo technology, and forgetting to buy it is the classic way to unlock a rifle you cannot fire. Ammo unlocks are deliberately cheap — most are one or two points — but they land at the same level as the gun, so budget for both together. Arrows are the exception: four tiers, all craftable from Wood and Stone at a Primitive Workbench, which is why bows stay viable so long. Every arrow type and its recipe goes deeper on those.

Gliders, Pouches and Feed Bags (13)

These are the quality-of-life unlocks, and they are the ones veterans tell you to buy before weapons. Pouches add inventory slots outright — four tiers from level 27 to 57 — and feed bags stop you hand-feeding your team mid-fight, which is worth more than it sounds during a long boss. Gliders come in four steps ending at Hyper Glider at 52, and every one of them is a straight upgrade with no downside.

If you are weighing these against a gun, remember that carry capacity compounds: every extra slot pays out on every trip for the rest of the run. Carrying capacity and item weights covers how much each pouch actually buys you.

Accessories and Movement Gear (19)

Seventeen of these 19 are Ancient technologies, which makes this the section your Ancient points mostly disappear into. The movement set is the reason: Air Dash Boots at 35, Double Jump Boots at 40 and their upgrades change how the whole map plays, and Wing Pack at 80 is the most expensive unlock in the game at nine points.

The three lockpicking tools are the quiet priority. Each tier opens a higher grade of locked chest, and since chests are where schematics live, skipping them costs you gear you cannot buy any other way. Extra Weapon Holster at 27 is the other one to take early — a fourth weapon slot for five points.

Medicine, Bait, Tonics and Cakes (13)

A short list with two very different halves. The bait line — three tiers from level 22 — only matters if you fish, but it multiplies what you pull out of a spot. The medicine entries are the ones you want on hand before a raid: Advanced Recovery Meds and Revival Potion both unlock at 61 and both cost a wall of Red Berries and Cavern Mushrooms, so start farming before you buy the recipe.

Cakes are their own economy. Four recipes across levels 30-74, all of them egg-and-flour heavy, and they are the only thing that makes breeding run — one cake per egg, no substitutes. Every cake recipe and its effect covers which one to mass-produce.

Pal Saddles and Combat Gear (124)

This is the largest single block of craftables in the game and the one most worth skipping selectively. 110 saddles and harnesses plus 14 Pal-mounted weapons, spread from level 6 to 79, and each one is useless unless you actually own that Pal. Buy the saddle for the mount you are riding and ignore the rest — there is no completion bonus.

The combat gear entries are different and often overlooked: they turn a Pal you are already carrying into a weapon you fire from its back, and the early ones are dirt cheap. The band table below shows how the cost curve moves; all 140 Pal Gear with their materials has the piece-by-piece list, and mount speeds compared tells you which saddle is worth the points in the first place.

Where You Craft Everything: All 30 Stations

A recipe you have unlocked still will not appear until the right bench is standing in your base, and the benches are structures with their own technology costs. There are 30 of them, and most sit in an upgrade ladder rather than standing alone — five furnaces, five general workbenches, four sphere lines, four weapon lines, three medicine benches and three kitchens, each tier adding recipes instead of replacing the last one. The remaining six are one-offs: the Repair Bench, the Pal Gear Workbench, the Mill, the Drafting Table, the Pal Disassembly Conveyor and the Gold Coin Assembly Line.

The one that catches people is the split between lines: your Production Assembly Line will not build a gun no matter how far you upgrade it, because guns belong to the weapon line. The Ancient Workbench at 67 is the last general bench and the only one that touches ancient materials.

What You Can Craft in the First 10 Levels (25)

The opening ten levels hand out 25 carryable recipes for 35 points, and the order matters more here than anywhere else because you have nothing banked. Take the Stone Axe and Stone Pickaxe first — they are one point each and everything else needs the materials they gather. Pal Sphere at level 2 is mandatory, and Stone Spear at 3 is the weapon that carries you to the first boss.

Skip the Old Bow if you are short — 30 Wood and 15 Fiber is a real cost this early and the spear does the job. What you should not skip is Cloth at 4, because both weather outfits and the first armor set run through it, and Palworld's cold nights will kill you long before a Pal does.

TipBuy capacity before power. Storage, a bench upgrade, a pouch and a better pickaxe pay out on every single craft that follows, while a stronger gun only pays out in the fights you happen to pick. The other half of that rule: never spend an Ancient point on something a normal technology can approximate — the 51 Ancient entries are gated behind tower bosses, so a wasted one costs you a boss clear, not a level.
