How to Get Flea Market (Items): Cost, Uses, and Setup — Palworld Database

Flea Market (Items) is the stall you plant in your base so other players can buy your stuff for Gold — you stock a sale list, put a price on each line, and they walk up and pay it. This guide covers the level it unlocks at, the 2 Technology Points and three materials it costs, the raw shopping list hiding under those materials, which Pal is worth parking on it, and how it stacks up against the Pal version of the same booth.

Flea Market (Items) at a Glance

It sits in the Other tab of the build menu, right next to Flea Market (Pals). Two numbers separate it from the rest of that tab. The first is the build workload: 9,000, which is nine times what the Palbox asks for and puts it inside the 120 heaviest builds out of the 498 you can place. The second is the Cloth — 3 of it is 1,440 Gold of the 7,280 the whole booth is worth in materials, and it is the only line that sends you looking for Wool. Everything else is friendly: no power draw, no work suitability requirement, and it can be repaired like any other wooden structure when it wears down.

How to Unlock Flea Market (Items)

Hit character level 22, open the Palworld Technology Tree and spend 2 points on it. They are ordinary Technology Points — the ones you get one per level — so no tower boss run is required, which already makes this cheaper to reach than most base upgrades of the same era. The catch is the queue in front of it. Level 22 drops eight ordinary technologies at once for 13 points between them, and you arrive with nowhere near that many spare.

If you are playing solo, both booths sit at the bottom of that list — they do nothing without a second player. On a co-op world or a dedicated server the order flips: the Pal Expedition Station and the booths are the two that keep earning while you are doing something else, and the furniture sets can wait forever.

Level 22 technologyPointsWhat it gets you
Flea Market (Items)2Sells items to other players for Gold you set yourself
Flea Market (Pals)2Same stall for Pals — the only way a Pal keeps its value instead of the 1/20 a merchant pays

Stun Baton2Melee jolt that makes Pals easier to capture — the cheap fix for a bad capture rate
Vanwyrm Cryst Saddle2Flying mount saddle, worth it the moment you own the Pal

All Materials and Where to Farm Them

None of the three materials is late-game, and none of them is bought — every line here is something your base already produces by level 22. Broken all the way down to raw resources, one Flea Market (Items) costs 42 Ore, 40 Wood, 20 Fiber and 6 Wool, and the awkward one is the Wool, because it is the only material a stone pit or a logging site will never hand you.

MaterialQtyHow you get itValue each
Ingot20Smelt 2 Ore each in a Primitive Furnace (Tech 10)240 Gold
Wooden Board4Primitive Workbench: 10 Wood + 5 Fiber + 1 Nail each260 Gold
Cloth3Primitive Workbench: 2 Wool each480 Gold

20 Ingot — 42 Ore Once You Count the Nails

Two Ore per Ingot means 40 Ore for the booth itself, plus one more Ingot to cover the 4 Nails the Wooden Boards want, since a single Ingot makes 5 Nails. Call it 42 Ore. There are 1,632 ore nodes across the map and they are all on our Palworld interactive map with the ore layer switched on, so the fastest version of this trip is to fly a mining loop rather than mine one node dry. If you would rather the base did it, Digtoise is Mining 4 and has 660 spawn points, which makes it the easiest strong miner to actually find; Pierdon is Mining 5 and drops 4-5 Ore on death but has only 16 spawn points, so it is a catch-when-you-see-it Pal. The permanent fix is the Ore Mining Site at Tech 24, two levels after this booth.

4 Wooden Board — 40 Wood, 20 Fiber, 4 Nails

Wooden Boards are the quiet money sink here. Each one is 10 Wood, 5 Fiber and 1 Nail at the Primitive Workbench, so four of them eat 40 Wood and 20 Fiber before the Nails are even started. Wood and Fiber both come off the same trees, and a Logging Site with a Lumbering Pal on it covers the whole order while you are out doing something else. Nails come back to the furnace: 1 Ingot makes 5, so one extra smelt covers all four boards with one spare.

3 Cloth — 6 Wool

Cloth is 2 Wool each at the Primitive Workbench, so the booth needs 6 Wool total — a single trip if you have a Ranch running. Every Pal below drops Wool at a 100% rate, and the three with a Ranch rank produce it on repeat without being killed, which is the version you want by level 22. Melpaca is the pick: Ranch rank 2, 2-5 Wool per drop, and 270 spawn points to catch one from. Lamball is easier to find at 351 points but only rank 1 and 1-3 per drop.

How to Use the Flea Market

Once it is up, the booth has three prompts on it and they do very different things. Edit Sales List is yours — it opens the Item Shop screen where you move goods out of your inventory into the sale list, set the stock and put a Gold price on each line. See Goods is what everyone else gets: a shop front with your stock and prices, and a "Buy how many?" prompt when they pick something. Collect Revenue is the one people forget, because until somebody buys something it just reads "No sales yet".

That last prompt matters more than it looks. Your takings pile up inside the booth rather than landing in your pocket, and when that storage fills the game starts telling buyers the seller's inventory is full — meaning the sale cannot go through. If you price things cheap and leave the stall running, empty it regularly or it quietly stops trading. Gold is the only currency it accepts, so a booth is worthless to anyone who has not been farming Gold in Palworld first.

The obvious caveat: this is a multiplayer structure. On a solo world there is nobody to browse it, so the 2 Technology Points are dead weight until you are on a co-op world or a dedicated server — our Palworld multiplayer guide covers getting one of those running. Place the stall near the edge of your base or by a fast travel point rather than deep inside your production sprawl, because a shop nobody can reach is a shop nobody uses.

TipCollect your revenue every time you pass the booth. Sales stall once the takings storage is full, and there is no warning on your end — you just stop earning. And you cannot build one in a raid boss area, so keep your trading base and your raid altar apart.

Which Pal to Assign

The booth's work suitability is Anyone at rank 1, so literally any base Pal can staff it — this is one of the few structures where a Pal you consider useless is the correct answer. The one reason to be picky is the in-game description, which says an Ice Pal assigned to the stall keeps food inside from spoiling as fast. So park an Ice Pal you are not already using elsewhere and you get the perk for free. One rule catches people out: only base Pals can be assigned, so you cannot drop your active partner onto it.

Pengullet is the default pick by a mile — 1,125 spawn points, more than any other Ice Pal in the game, and it is a Neutral-tier catch you have probably already got sitting in the box. Chillet and Swee are the next easiest. Skip Foxcicle even though it is a strong Ice Pal: it is one of the 29 Ranch producers and makes Ice Organ on repeat, so it earns far more standing in a pen than behind a stall.

Ice PalCoolingSpawn pointsWhy it works here
Pengullet11,125The most common Ice Pal in the game — you already own several
Chillet2117Low-rank worker with nothing better to do in a base
Swee1100Gathering 1 only, so nothing else in your camp misses it
Jolthog Cryst169Cooling is its only suitability — a pure spare part
Reindrix364Only if your Lumbering is already covered
Foxcicle4187Works, but it is a Ranch producer — better used for Ice Organ

Flea Market (Items) vs Flea Market (Pals)

The two stalls are near-identical builds. Same level 22 unlock, same 2 Technology Points, same 9,000 build workload, same 4,000 HP, same single worker slot. The only difference in the recipe is the third material: the item booth wants 3 Cloth and the Pal booth wants 5 Paldium Fragment, which is why the Pal version comes out about 1,090 Gold cheaper in materials at 6,190 against 7,280.

Build the Pal one too if you have the points. Selling a Pal to an NPC merchant pays back one-twentieth of what that Pal costs to buy, which is why Pal buy and sell values make merchant selling a bad joke — a player-run stall is the only place a bred Pal fetches anything close to what it is actually worth. Be careful with it, though: the game warns you at the confirmation screen that sold Pals cannot be recovered.

Is Flea Market (Items) Worth Building?

On a solo world, no — skip it and spend the 2 points on the Pal Expedition Station at the same level. On a shared world it is one of the cheapest things you will ever build for what it does: 42 Ore, 40 Wood, 20 Fiber and 6 Wool turns your camp into a shop front that other players can browse and pay into, and it is the only structure in the game that does that for items. Put it near your base entrance, staff it with a spare Pengullet, price your surplus above what a merchant would charge but below the effort of farming it, and empty the till on your way past.
