All Wildlife Sanctuary Pals and Locations — Palworld Database

The three Wildlife Sanctuaries are small islands off the Palpagos coast stacked with rare Pals — including a handful that spawn nowhere else in the game. Each island also hosts a serious boss, from a level 30 Grizzbolt all the way up to a level 65 Frostallion Noct. Here's every Pal on every island, so you know exactly what a trip gets you before you fly out.

All Three Sanctuaries at a Glance

SanctuaryIsland BossOnly Found Here
No. 1 — off the eastern coastGrizzbolt Lv 30Eikthyrdeer Terra
No. 2 — in the western watersAstegon Lv 55Incineram Noct, Astegon
No. 3 — far northeastFrostallion Noct Lv 65Carnibora, Shadowbeak, Frostallion Noct
TipYou can't walk to any of these — bring a flying or swimming mount. And watch the sky: patrol drones sweep the islands with searchlights, and getting spotted turns the whole visit into a firefight.

No. 1 Wildlife Sanctuary — the Beginner Island

The east-coast sanctuary is the gentlest of the three and the boss proves it: a level 30 Grizzbolt guards the island. The real prize is Eikthyrdeer Terra — this is the only place in Palworld where it spawns in the wild, so this island is a mandatory stop for Paldeck completion. Jump to its spot on the interactive map to see exactly where the island sits.

No. 2 Wildlife Sanctuary — the Dark Fire Island

The western sanctuary skews hard toward dark and fire types, and two of its residents are exclusives: Incineram Noct roams only here, and the island boss — a level 55 Astegon — is the only wild-boss Astegon in the game. Astegon is worth the fight: it's one of the best late-game miners you can put on a base (see the best Pals for every job). Night visits pay extra: Gloopie only surfaces after dark. Find it via Incineram Noct's map marker.

No. 3 Wildlife Sanctuary — the Endgame Island

The far-northeast sanctuary is the endgame one, headlined by a level 65 Frostallion Noct — the dark twin of the legendary Frostallion, and this island is the only place it appears. Two more Pals are exclusive here too: Carnibora and, remarkably, wild Shadowbeak — everywhere else you only ever face it as a boss. Gold-variant hunters also come here for Dumud Gild and Penking Lux offshore. Route in from Carnibora's map marker.

The Ancient Materials Only These Islands Have

The Pals are only half the haul. Each sanctuary seeds one gathering node that appears nowhere else on Palpagos, and all three feed the same bench: accessories and charms. Ancient Lava is the clearest case — there are exactly ten Ancient Lava deposits in the entire game, and every one of them sits on No. 2. Run out and there is no second island to farm.

MaterialIslandHow to Harvest ItWhat It Builds (amount needed)
Ancient BarkNo. 1Axe — the dead ancient stumpsAir Walker Mk I ×15, Pal Tamer's Glasses ×15, Islander's Tool Belt ×30, Reptyro Charm ×30
Ancient LavaNo. 2Pickaxe — the blue-veined ore, still radiating heatAir Walker Mk II ×30, Wumpo Charm ×30, Ring of Trust ×30, Warsect Terra's Belt ×30
Ancient BoneNo. 3Pickaxe — the skeletal remainsAir Walker Mk III ×30, Air Walker EX ×60, Phantom Ring ×30, Vanguard Charm ×30
TipThe Air Walker ladder is the reason to plan all three trips at once: Mk I wants Ancient Bark, Mk II wants Ancient Lava, and Mk III and EX want Ancient Bone. There is no way to climb that upgrade path without landing on every sanctuary. Since Ancient Lava is mined hot, put heat-resistant armor on before you start swinging at No. 2.

Every Sanctuary-Exclusive Pal

If you're completing the Paldeck, six Pals here cannot be caught anywhere else in the wild: Eikthyrdeer Terra on No. 1, Incineram Noct and Astegon on No. 2, and Carnibora, wild Shadowbeak and Frostallion Noct on No. 3.
