How to Get the Advanced Medicine Workbench and Its Recipes — Palworld Database

The Advanced Medicine Workbench is the third and last tier of Palworld's medicine bench, and it is where Revival Potion and Advanced Recovery Meds get made — the two recipes that unlock on the exact same technology row as the bench itself. This guide covers the level and points it costs, its three build materials and the raw pile underneath them, the electricity it eats, every medicine on its menu, and which of the 43 Medicine Production Pals to park on it.

Advanced Medicine Workbench at a Glance

This is a Production-tab structure, not an infrastructure one, so do not confuse it with the Clinic at level 24 or the Ancient Clinic at level 73 — those keep your workers healthy, this one manufactures the bottles. It draws 1,000 electricity, which ties it with the Advanced Workshop, the Advanced Weapon Assembly Line, the Advanced Sphere Assembly Line and the Mounted Missile Launcher for the seventh-heaviest power draw in the game; only six structures pull more. Of the 42 structures that need power at all, this one sits comfortably in the top quarter, so treat it as a grid decision rather than a spare-corner build.

How to Unlock the Advanced Medicine Workbench

Reach character level 61, open the Palworld technology tree and spend 4 technology points. Budget 9 rather than 4, though — the bench on its own crafts the same medicines the older benches already did, and the two recipes that make it worth building sit right beside it at 2 and 3 points. The bigger bill is the prerequisite chain: Hexolite is a level 58 technology that only smelts in the Gigantic Furnace (another level 58 unlock at 5 points), Plasteel is level 50 and needs the Electric Furnace from level 44, and Circuit Board at level 35 leans on Polymer at level 33 and a Production Assembly Line. If you have been building toward the endgame you own all of that already.

Technology at Lv. 61PointsDo you need it?
Advanced Medicine Workbench4The bench itself
Revival Potion3Yes — nothing else brings a downed Pal back on the spot
Advanced Recovery Meds2Yes — the strongest healing item you can craft
Plasma Cannon5No, but it is the firepower pick on this row
Plasma Cartridge1Only if you took the cannon
Double Air Dash Boots5No — mobility, not medicine
Necromus Saddle5No

Build Materials and Where to Make Them

Three materials, three different stations, and none of them are hand-craftable at a workbench. The 50 Hexolite is the expensive line at 3,000 gold of value per bar, and it is the one that forces a trip to Feybreak because Hexolite Quartz is only found there. The 50 Plasteel is the ore sink — 250 Ore disappears into that stack alone. The 30 Circuit Board is the cheapest of the three and you probably have a production line already stamping them out for other gear. Queue Hexolite first; the other two finish while it smelts.

What It Really Costs in Raw Materials

Trace all three back to things you mine, pump or kill for and the bench comes to seven raw inputs worth roughly 287,000 gold. Ore is the largest pile at 250, but with 1,632 nodes on the map it is also the least of your problems. The real gates are Chromite, which does not appear as a surface node at all and has to be dug up with a Metal Detector on certain islands, and Crude Oil, which means an extractor parked on one of the 185 oil fields. Everything else you can gather on a single loop.

Raw inputTotal neededWhere to get it
Ore2501,632 ore nodes on the Palworld interactive map
Crude Oil100185 oil fields, drained with a Crude Oil Extractor
Pure Quartz60607 nodes on the map, mostly in the snowfields
High Quality Pal Oil60For the Polymer. Mammorest drops 5-10 a kill; Dumud makes it on a ranch
Chromite50Buried deposits found with a Metal Detector; Smokie also drops 1-2
Hexolite Quartz50635 nodes on the map, all of them in Feybreak
Sulfur30For the Polymer. 655 nodes on the map; Pierdon drops 4-5

Medicine Workbench Tiers Compared

The three benches are a straight upgrade path and the top one does everything the lower two do, so there is no reason to keep an old bench standing once this is powered. What changes between them is not just recipe access but crafting speed, and the jump in power cost is brutal: the middle tier sips 50 electricity, this one wants 1,000. If your base is still on a single generator, the honest move is to run the Electric Medicine Workbench for basic supplies and only place this one when the grid can carry it.

The two clinics are a separate line entirely. The Clinic at level 24 and the Ancient Clinic at level 73 also want a Medicine Production Pal, but they keep the base's workers from getting sick or depressed rather than producing anything you can carry. A finished base runs one of each.

Every Recipe the Advanced Medicine Workbench Makes

The menu splits into four families: healing meds, condition cures, work-speed juices and the permanent stat boosters. Watch the workload column rather than the ingredient list, because that is what actually decides your throughput — Memory Wiping Medicine is 3,000,000 crafting workload, 600 times a batch of Low Grade Medical Supplies. Compare within a family, too: a juice's numbers have nothing to say about a potion's.

Recovery Meds and Revival Potion

This is the family you built the bench for. Advanced Recovery Meds is the top healing item in the game and it costs four times the workload of the High Quality version for it, while Revival Potion is in a class of its own — 1,000,000 workload for one bottle, ten times the Advanced meds, and the only thing that puts a downed Pal back on its feet without walking it home. All five share the same shopping list, so one plantation and one mushroom run feeds the whole ladder. If you only ever queue two things here, make it Advanced Recovery Meds for yourself and a small stock of Revival Potions for boss attempts.

Medical Supplies That Cure Conditions

These three restore no Health at all — they exist purely to clear the status conditions your Pals pick up at base, and each grade covers a different set, so you want all three stocked in the Medicine Rack rather than only the best one. Low Grade handles Sick, Sprain and Overfull; the middle grade takes Ulcer and Fracture; High Grade is the one for Weakened and Depressed. They are cheap in materials and cheap in workload, so set a standing order of each and forget about them.

Juices, Mind Control Meds and Memory Wiping Medicine

The juices are a trade: they push a Pal's work speed up for a while and drag its SAN down while they do it, which is why the stronger the juice the more it hurts. Suspicious Juice is mild enough to hand out freely, Strange Juice is the middle ground, and Mysterious Mushroom Juice is the one that will empty a worker's SAN bar if you are not watching it — keep a hot spring or good food nearby before you start pouring. Memory Wiping Medicine is the outlier here and has nothing to do with Pals: drink it yourself to refund your status points. At 99 Beautiful Flower and 3,000,000 workload it is the single most expensive thing this bench makes.

TipStart hoarding Beautiful Flower long before you plan a respec. There are only 27 Beautiful Flower nodes on the whole island — the rarest gathering node on the map by a wide margin — and Memory Wiping Medicine alone eats 99 of them. Caravan Shop merchants sell them for 500 gold each, and Dualith drops 3-5 every kill, which are both faster than running the nodes.

Stat Elixirs and Remedies

Ten recipes, five stats, two sizes each, and every one of them permanently raises a player stat — Health, Stamina, Attack, Work Speed or carrying capacity. They do nothing when a Pal drinks them. The Remedy versions take 4 small lotuses and 1 Predator Core for 50,000 workload; the Elixir versions take 6 large lotuses and 2 Predator Cores for 100,000. Lotuses come off the 866 stat lotus pins scattered around the island, and Predator Cores only drop from Predator Pals, so this family is gated by field work rather than by the bench. Worth knowing before you grind: the Medal Shop sells all five large Elixirs outright for 200 Dog Coin each.

Best Pals to Staff the Advanced Medicine Workbench

The bench runs on Medicine Production, and 43 Pals have the suitability at some level — but only one reaches the Lv. 8 cap. Silvance is that Pal, and it is the correct answer if you own one. Below it, Bellanoir Libero and Lyleen Noct tie at Lv. 7, and four Pals sit at Lv. 6. Past the top three, pick by second job instead of raw speed: Dandilord brings Planting Lv. 8, which grows the Red Berries this bench burns by the hundred, and Mycora both works the bench and drops the Mysterious Mushroom the juices need. See the full Medicine Production Pal list for every option.

Keeping the Bench Fed

Every recipe on the menu pulls from the same short list of ingredients, and almost all of it can be automated at home rather than farmed by hand. Red Berries come off a plantation in about three minutes a harvest, ten to a crop, and three of the four bulk animal ingredients have a ranch Pal that produces them while you are away. That leaves Horn, Sulfur and Cavern Mushroom as the ones you genuinely have to go get — and with 1,445 grotto mushroom nodes on the map, the mushrooms are the easiest gathering run in the game.

TipBuild the power before you build the bench. At 1,000 electricity this one structure will flatten a mid-game grid, and an unpowered production building still shows a Pal standing at it doing nothing. Get a large generator and a dedicated Generating Electricity worker running first — see how the Human-Powered Generator works if you want a stopgap while you build up to it.

Is the Advanced Medicine Workbench Worth It?

Yes, but for two recipes rather than for the bench itself. Everything else on the menu was already available from the Electric Medicine Workbench at level 43 for a twentieth of the power draw — what you are actually buying at level 61 is Revival Potion and Advanced Recovery Meds, and those two change how boss fights and raids go. The practical checklist is level 61, 9 technology points, a Gigantic Furnace already smelting Hexolite, roughly 250 Ore and 100 Crude Oil banked, and a generator with 1,000 electricity to spare. Put Silvance on it and leave a standing order of Advanced Recovery Meds running.
