This is the seventh of eight faux plant sets on the Palworld Technology Tree and the last one that gives you four pieces instead of three — the Cherry Blossoms set above it drops to three trees and no bush. There is no parent technology to buy first, so your character level is the only gate, and nothing in the set needs power, a worker or a crafting station once you place it. The catch is the same as every faux plant: the pieces are scenery and nothing else, and you cannot chop them back down, so the materials are spent for good.

How to Unlock the Faux Snowy Greenery Set

Hit character level 49, open the technology tree and spend one point on the Faux Snowy Greenery Set — all four pieces then live permanently in the Furniture tab of your build menu. Level 49 is one of the most expensive rows in the whole tree: clearing everything on it costs 15 normal points, because the Item Retrieval Machine and the Large-Scale Stone Oven want five apiece. The three decoration sets on the row (Snowy Greenery, Barricade and Road Sign) are the cheap filler you grab once the big two are paid for. The Hyper Grappling Gun on this row does not compete for the same budget at all — it is 4 Ancient Technology Points, a separate currency, and it also needs the Giga Grappling Gun bought first.

All 4 Pieces and What Each One Costs

The three trees are variants A, B and C of the same snow-laden conifer at a flat 20 Hardwood each, and mixing all three is what keeps a planted row from reading as copy-paste. The Faux White Bush is the outlier and by far the cheapest piece: it takes 20 Fiber, which you can craft out of 10 Wood on a workbench, so it costs roughly a tenth of what a tree does. Build the bushes freely as ground cover and save the trees for the spots people actually look at.

How to Farm the 60 Hardwood

Hardwood comes off the tougher trees that grow in the desert, volcanic and snowy stretches of the map rather than the starter forests, and our Palworld interactive map pins 4,654 lumber nodes with the Lumber layer switched on. Unlike the earlier faux sets, level 49 is late enough that you have all three supply routes open at once — a base facility that prints the stuff, Pals that drop it, or the shops. Building the facility is the right call if you plan to keep decorating; killing Pals is the right call if you just want the four pieces tonight.

Build the Logging Site II

The Logging Site II is the only structure in the game that produces Hardwood on its own, and it unlocks at technology level 43 — six levels below this set, so by the time the snowy trees are on your menu it should already be built. It costs 100 Hardwood, 50 Stone, 20 Paldium Fragment and 5 Ancient Civilization Parts, which is more Hardwood than the whole set needs, so it is an investment rather than a shortcut. Staff it with the highest Lumbering ranks you own: Celesdir Noct is the only rank 8 logger in the game, with Celesdir and Hartalis tied at 7 behind it, out of 63 Pals that can work the job at all.

If you are building this set because you want a frost-themed base, there is a nice overlap: several Ice Pals are strong loggers, so your workforce can match the scenery without costing you output. Bastigor at rank 6 is the best Ice-type logger and only two ranks off the global best, and Wumpo and Mammorest Cryst at 5 are both easy to find in the frost regions you would be building in anyway.

Farm the Pals That Drop Hardwood

Four Pals drop Hardwood, and every one of them drops it on every single kill or capture — there is no rate to fish for here. Wumpo Botan is the biggest haul at 2-5 per drop and has the widest spread of the four at 83 spawn points, so a lap of its territory is the quickest way to 60. Palumba is the next best at 2-4, while both Mossanda forms sit at 1-3 and are only worth the ammo if they are already in front of you. Budget roughly 15 to 20 Wumpo Botan for the full set.

Buy It From a Merchant

Hardwood costs 100 Gold a unit at the Village, Desert and Volcano shops and from the Wandering Trader, which puts the three trees at 6,000 Gold total. By level 49 that is affordable money rather than a fortune, and merchants restock, so you can buy the entire 60 in one stop and walk out. It is still the worst Gold-per-value trade in this guide — you are paying six thousand for scenery — so only take it if farming sounds like a chore.

How to Get the 20 Fiber for the White Bush

Fiber crafts out of Wood at two per one on a workbench, so the bush is really a 10 Wood purchase and you should never think harder about it than that. If you would rather grab it off the ground, nine Pals drop Fiber and all nine drop it at 100%. Hoocrates, Hangyu and Hangyu Cryst all give 5-10 per drop, which means two or three kills covers the bush outright. Worth knowing before you go looking: Hoocrates and Hangyu Cryst only spawn at night, so a daytime sweep will turn up neither.

Every Faux Decoration Set Compared

Eight faux decoration sets are spread across the tech tree and every one of them costs exactly one point, so the only real difference is how many pieces you get and what they are made of. Everything at level 23 and below runs on Wood, Stone or Fiber; from the Tropical set onward, every tree in every set is 20 Hardwood. The Bamboo set is the best value on the board at five pieces for one point with no Hardwood at all, and the Snowy set is the best of the expensive tier — four pieces and a cheap bush, where Desert and Cherry Blossoms give you three trees and nothing else for the same 60 Hardwood.

Building a Winter Base Around the Set

The snowy trees work two ways. Planted in the Astral Mountains or the Frostbound Mountains they blend a base into terrain that already looks like this, which is the point of the set; planted anywhere warm they give you a winter pocket that no other faux plant can fake. If you are actually building up in the frost regions, keep the temperature gear straight — the Heater at technology level 17 is what stops the cold from chewing through your Pals' comfort, and the Electric Heater at 41 does the same job much harder once you have power running. The Snowman is the trap here: it looks like winter dressing but it speeds up base cooling, which is the opposite of what a snow base wants, and stacking more than one does nothing at all.

Is the Snowy Set Worth a Point?

Yes, if you build for looks. Four pieces for one point is the best rate left this high in the tree, and snow-covered conifers are something you genuinely cannot approximate with the Greenery or Bamboo sets. Skip it if you are chasing progression, because nothing in it produces, stores, buffs or defends anything, and level 49 is a row where five-point machines are competing for your points. The sensible middle is to buy the technology the moment you hit 49 — it is one point and it never expires — then leave the trees unbuilt until Hardwood stops being something you need for gear.
