Palworld Patch Notes: All Updates and Version History — Palworld Database

Palworld is on the 1.0.2 line, and which exact build you are running decides whether you can join a friend's dedicated server tonight. This page keeps the current build number and its release date, every numbered update the game has shipped with dates and platforms, what the big ones actually put on the map, and how to check the version you are on.

Palworld's Latest Update

The newest build is a hotfix, not a patch you need to read. 1.0.2.101103 went live on July 30, 2026 on Steam and Xbox, hours after 1.0.2.100993 on the same day — two touch-ups to the 1.0.2 update that had landed the evening before. Neither hotfix moved a Pal stat, a drop rate or a recipe, so nothing you built or condensed changed value. The one that matters is 1.0.2 itself, which cleared the Panthalus disconnects and crashes on dedicated servers and stopped Victor & Shadowbeak vanishing mid-fight.

If you are on a dedicated server, the hotfix pair is the reason a client can bounce off a host that looks perfectly healthy: the server binary and your client have to sit on the same build string, and hotfixes ship on their own clock per platform. That mismatch is a five-minute fix rather than a wait — how to update your Palworld server walks the whole thing, including the version-mismatch error.

Every Update Since the 1.0 Launch

Five builds in the first three weeks, and not one of them added content. That is the rhythm of the post-launch game so far: 1.0 shipped on July 10, 2026 across Steam, Xbox and PS5, a fix pass followed five days later, then a fortnight's gap before the big stability patch and its two same-day hotfixes. The gaps tell you what to expect — numbered updates every couple of weeks, hotfixes whenever one of them needs touching up, and no reason to hoard materials waiting for a content drop that has not been announced.

The row worth reading twice is 1.0.2. It is the only update since launch that changed how a fight behaves, and it did it by repairing the fight rather than tuning it — the Panthalus encounter went from shelved to queueable for a lot of dedicated-server groups. Console and PC stayed in step on all three numbered builds, which has not always been true of this game, so cross-platform groups have not had to sit a version out. Where the whole post-1.0 plan is heading is covered in the Palworld roadmap after 1.0.

Full Palworld Version History

Here are the milestone builds behind 1.0, back to the first raid update in April 2024. The early-access years ran on a very different cadence to now — roughly two big versions a year, each one a genuine content drop with an island, a boss or a system attached, plus a stream of small numbered fixes in between that never got their own headline. 0.7.0 in December 2025 was the last of the old-style content patches, and everything after it was aimed at getting the game to 1.0.

0.2.0.6April 4, 2024Steam, XboxThe first raid boss, training manuals, new items and armor

Two things stand out if you are coming back after a long break. PS5 first appears on the 0.5.0 line — everything before it is a Steam-and-Xbox list, so a PlayStation save cannot predate March 2025 no matter how early you played elsewhere. And the version numbers are not evenly weighted: 0.6.1 arrived two days after 0.6.0 and 0.7.1 five weeks after 0.7.0, because the pattern has always been a content version followed quickly by the patch that fixes it. If a friend says they are "on 0.6", ask which one.

The Updates That Are Still Sitting in Your Game

Patch notes age badly, but the content they shipped does not — most of what those old versions added is still standing in the 1.0 world, and a lot of it is content people who joined at launch have never touched. These are the four that left the biggest footprint, with what they added and where it lives on the map now.

0.3.1: Sakurajima and the Oil Rig

The single biggest expansion of the pre-1.0 game. Sakurajima is still five distinct named areas — the Mushroom Wetlands, the Northern Rock Field, the Southern Sandbar, the Dancing Sakura Shrine and the Moonflower Tower where Saya and Selyne wait — and it carries 15 dungeon entrances, matching the desert, the snowfields and Mount Obsidian for cave count. The Oil Rig arrived in the same update, and the game now has three Rayne Syndicate rigs plus 185 oil field nodes scattered across the world. This patch also pushed the player cap to 55, which was the ceiling for a long time and reads as quaint now that Alphas run to Lv 79 and the hardest raid summons sit at Lv 80.

If you skipped the island, the fastest way back in is the tower: Saya and Selyne are one of ten tower bosses, and each has a harder rematch behind the hard-mode tower unlockthe hard-mode Saya and Selyne fight has the team and drops. The cave entrances are pinned on the interactive map's Sakurajima dungeon layer, and the rigs sit under the oil field layer.

0.2.0.6: The First Raid Boss

Raids started here, and the system it introduced is now five bosses deep with 16 summoning altars out in the world. The entry-level fight is still the one this update built: Bellanoir summons at level 35, the lowest bar of any raid in the game, and her drop table is the reason to bother — a guaranteed Dark Skill Fruit: Apocalypse, one to three Ancient Civilization Cores, and three to five Training Manual (XL), the very item this same patch added.

The ladder above her climbs fast: Bellanoir Libero at 45, Blazamut Ryu at 55, Xenolord at 65, Hartalis at 70, and a tier-2 version of each at level 80. Every altar is on the raid altar map layer, and the fights are written up one by one — start with the Bellanoir Libero raid guide if you have never summoned anything.

0.7.0: The ULTRAKILL Gear Nobody Removed

The last content version before the road to 1.0, and the one with loot you can still buy tonight. The ULTRAKILL crossover ran as an event, but its equipment stayed permanently on the Ancient technology tree as two nodes: Set 1 at player level 32 for 3 Ancient Technology Points (V1 Armor and the Marksman Revolver), and Set 2 at level 56 for 5 points (V2 Armor and the Core Eject Shotgun). That is 8 points out of the 185 the full 51-node Ancient tree costs, so it is cheap on a budget you are probably already sitting on after clearing towers.

V2 Armor is the reason to spend: 600 defence at level 56, which matches the resist-tier Hexolite suits that do not unlock until level 63-65. Its health pool is the trade — 215 HP against 1,750 on a Hexolite body — so it is a damage-reduction wall, not a buffer. The whole 588-node ladder is laid out on the Palworld technology tree, and 0.7.0's other headline, experimental PvP, is still a mode rather than a progression track.

1.0.0: The World Tree and the Endgame

The release build is the biggest single change the game has had, and it is the one every current patch is maintaining. It brought the new areas — the World Tree with its own set of tower bosses, and the sky region whose eight named places run from the Azure Tapestry to the Enchanted Firmament — the main story chain, new and redesigned Pals, new equipment, and reworked combat and base systems. Astralym sits at the end of it with the highest HP stat any Pal carries.

Scale check for anyone deciding whether to reinstall: the 1.0 world holds 288 Pals, 90 Alphas in the field, 10 tower bosses, 5 raid bosses, 123 named places and 137 fast travel points. If you cleared the story and stalled, the 1.0 endgame checklist is the list of what is left, and the World Tree map covers the final region's pins.

How to Check Which Version You Are On

The version string is printed on the title screen, bottom corner — that is the number to compare against the table above, and the only one that matters when someone cannot join you. On Steam and the consoles the game updates itself when you launch it, so a mismatch on a solo save is almost always a download that has not finished rather than a patch you missed.

Dedicated servers are the exception and the reason this page gets searched. A server does not follow your client's update, so after every hotfix the host has to pull the new build separately — until they do, everyone gets bounced with a version error no matter how many times they verify their own files. The order that works is host first, clients second, and the server update guide has the exact steps per platform.

TipRead a hotfix's platform column before you panic. Both July 30 builds shipped on Steam and Xbox only, so a PS5 player sitting on 1.0.2 is not behind — they are on the newest build their platform has. Cross-play groups should match on the numbered update (1.0.2) rather than the four-part build string.

The Short Answer

Current build: 1.0.2.101103, released July 30, 2026 on Steam and Xbox; the latest numbered update is 1.0.2 from July 29 across all three platforms. Nothing since the July 10 launch has added content or changed a stat, so your save, your schematics and your condensed Pals are all safe to spend. The history behind that runs back to 0.2.0.6 in April 2024, and the content those old patches shipped — Sakurajima, the Oil Rig, the raid ladder, the ULTRAKILL gear — is all still in the game waiting on you.
