Palworld 1.0.2 Patch Notes: Every Fix in the Update

Updated 2026-07-29

Version 1.0.2 is out on every platform, and it is a repair job rather than a content drop — no new Pals, no new region, nothing to farm. What it does fix is the set of problems that were ending runs rather than annoying them: the Panthalus fight dropping players off dedicated servers, a tower boss teleporting itself out of existence, and two achievements that refused to unlock no matter how many times you earned them.

The Fixes That Actually Change a Run

Three of these were run-enders. Dedicated-server groups fighting Panthalus were being disconnected mid-battle, and separately the fight could crash the game outright — both are fixed, which makes the encounter worth queueing again if your group had shelved it. The tower boss pairing of Victor & Shadowbeak could disappear entirely after using its teleport attack, leaving you in an arena with nothing to hit; that is resolved too.

The remaining multiplayer fixes are smaller but the same shape. Guests joining a host who was already inside the World Tree would load into broken terrain, and lighting on guest respawns during the final boss displayed incorrectly. Neither is fatal, but both made co-op sessions feel unfinished.

Two Achievements Unstuck

If you have been staring at an achievement list that refused to tick over, this update is the reason it will now move. Predator Hunter was failing to unlock for players who had already met every requirement, and the achievement for collecting the required Pal Effigies had the same problem. Both now fire correctly, so it is worth loading in and checking your list rather than re-grinding anything.

Xbox players also get the outdated Lifmunk Effigy achievement icons replaced with the current art — cosmetic, but it had been wrong for a while. If you are still hunting effigies, every one of them is pinned on the interactive map.

Performance and Controls

The Sunreach area had its processing load reduced, which is the one change here that anyone on modest hardware will feel directly — it was among the heavier regions to fly through. Mac players also get a fix for severe terrain distortion in the World Tree, which had made the area genuinely hard to navigate rather than merely ugly.

On the input side, Attack that enemy! and Inventory can finally be rebound, the Inventory Shortcut option that had gone missing from the Controls menu is back, and middle-mouse-button conflict detection now works properly. Small things, but the kind that quietly cost you a fight when a key does not do what you expect. A cutscene bug affecting the player model's eyes is fixed as well.

TipNothing in 1.0.2 changes Pal stats, drop rates or recipes, so any build you were running still works exactly as it did — this is purely a stability and quality-of-life pass. If your group parked the Panthalus fight because of the disconnects, that is the thing worth going back to first.
