Heavy Assault Rifle Schematic Location and Stats

Where the Legendary Heavy Assault Rifle schematic drops in Palworld — the 0.22% Sky Island supply roll that beats every other legendary in the pool, why banking all four tiers cuts the grind from 455 drops to 113, the 1,615 attack stat card at Tech Lv 70, and the full 3,960-unit craft.

Heavy Assault Rifle Schematic Location and Stats — Palworld Database

The Heavy Assault Rifle unlocks at Technology Lv 70 and is the Soralite-forged version of the rifle you've been carrying since level 45 — 1,615 attack, a 30-round magazine, and a weight of 5 in a class where 15 is standard. This guide covers the full stat card, the one region that drops the Legendary schematic, the exact percentage for all four tiers, the maths that says you should bank every tier instead of chasing the top one, and the 3,960-unit material trace behind a single craft.

Heavy Assault Rifle Stats

Two numbers carry this weapon. 1,615 Base Attack across a 30-round magazine is 48,450 damage before you reload, which is third in the whole assault rifle class and first among anything that fires at a normal rate — the Charge Rifle above it spends six charged shots to get there. The other number is weight 5. Every other rifle in the game weighs 15 to 20; only this and the Plasma Rifle come in at 5, which means you can carry a full endgame loadout and still have room for the ore you flew up to mine.

Attack figures only mean anything against weapons that fire the same way, so 1,615 says nothing about a launcher or a bow — inside its own class it's the second-highest number on the board. The honest read is that this is the last conventional rifle you'll unlock: eight tech levels later the Plasma Rifle takes over with more attack, a bigger magazine and more than four times the durability, but it sits behind a much deeper material wall. Between Lv 70 and Lv 78 this is simply the best gun you can hold.

Where the Legendary Schematic Drops

There is no boss for this one. No Pal in the game drops a Heavy Assault Rifle schematic, no merchant sells it, and no arena currency buys it — every route runs through the Sky Island, and nowhere else on the map carries it. That sounds restrictive until you look at the rates: the Sky Island supply drop table hands out the Legendary at 0.22%, which is the best legendary schematic rate anywhere in that pool.

Schematic 1Uncommon27.87%YesYesYes
Schematic 2Rare5.57%YesYesYesYes
Schematic 3Epic1.11%YesYesYesYes
Schematic 4Legendary0.22%YesYesYesYes

One row behaves differently from the rest: Schematic 1 is the only tier locked out of treasure map digs, so a tier 5 dig can never waste its roll on the tier you already have too many of. Everything else is shared — all four tiers sit in the same Sky Island chests, the same camp stashes and the same fishing spots, so the ordinary loot you pick up while exploring is quietly rolling on the Legendary too. Every schematic in the game uses the same rolled-scroll model in your bag, so the four icons above are each tier's own art; that's the only way to tell them apart at a glance.

Sky Island Supply Drops — All Four Tiers

Supply drops are the only source with a real percentage attached, and this is where the Heavy Assault Rifle line looks unusually generous. At 27.87% the Schematic 1 is the fourth most common thing in a 40-entry table — beaten only by Soralite, Sol Spheres and Ancient Spheres, all of which are guaranteed or near-guaranteed. Roughly one Sky Island drop in four hands you a schematic for this weapon.

SchematicCraftsSky Island supply drop chanceRoughly

Schematic 2Rare5.57%1 in 18
Schematic 3Epic1.11%1 in 90
Schematic 4Legendary0.22%1 in 455

Look at the shape of that column: 27.87 → 5.57 → 1.11 → 0.22, each tier exactly one fifth of the one above it. The Drafting Table combines exactly five schematics into one of the next rarity. That means every tier in this table is worth precisely the same amount of Legendary progress, and none of them is a consolation prize — a Schematic 1 is one 125th of a Legendary, and it drops 125 times as often. Hold that thought, because it decides the whole farming plan further down.

It's the Best Legendary in the Sky Island Pool

Five weapons and armour pieces put their legendary schematic in the Sky Island supply table, and the Heavy Assault Rifle's 0.22% is the highest rate of the lot — 1.6× the two Ancient armour pieces, 2.75× the Rocket Launcher and 3.7× the Tactical Grenade Launcher. If you're farming Sky Island drops for any legendary at all, this is the one that lands first, and by a wide margin.

Legendary schematicCraftsSupply drop chanceRoughly
Heavy Assault Rifle Schematic 41,615 attack rifle0.22%1 in 455
Ancient Helm Schematic 4500 defence helm0.14%1 in 714

Rocket Launcher Schematic 414,000 attack launcher0.08%1 in 1,250
Tactical Grenade Launcher Schematic 46,722 attack launcher0.06%1 in 1,667

Worth noting what those rows actually mean for a farming session: you're rolling on all five at once, and the ones you don't want still count. The Rocket Launcher's 14,000 attack is the hardest-hitting craft in the game, so a bad Heavy Assault Rifle night is often a very good Rocket Launcher night. The legendary Ancient Armor guide covers the armour half of that table, and the supply drops page has every region's full pool.

Who Guards the Drop

Sky Island supply drops land with an escort, and it's a level 64-66 escort — one of five squads, all of them Skyland natives or the Azure Covenant humans who patrol up there. The two squads worth respecting are the Alpha ones: a lone Alpha Xenogard, and an Alpha Xenovader leading three ordinary Xenovaders, which is four Dark attackers at once with 125 ranged attack each.

SquadLevelWhat it is
Azure Covenant Enforcer ×365Human gunners — the easy roll
Xenovader ×464Four Dark ranged attackers, 125 shot attack apiece
Xenogard (Alpha)65Solo Dragon with 130 defence — tanky, not scary
Xenovader (Alpha) + ×365The hard one — Alpha plus three escorts
Xenogard (Alpha)66The same solo fight, one level higher

Both defenders have a clean answer. Xenovader is Dark, so Dragon damage hits it hard; Xenogard is Dragon, so Ice hits it hard. Bring one of each and no squad is a problem — the fights are short, and the point is the crate, not the kill. These are the picks off the combat tier list that cover both:

PalElementsMelee / RangedHPWhy bring it
Jormuntide IgnisDragon/Fire150 / 130130S-tier, top melee in the game — the Xenovader answer
Blazamut RyuDragon/Fire150 / 130105S-tier bruiser, 125 defence to survive four attackers
JetragonDragon100 / 140115Flying mount and heavy ranged — ride in, clear, ride out
FrostallionIce100 / 140140S-tier Ice, the Xenogard answer, and a mount
BastigorIce100 / 130140S-tier Ice with the same 140 HP cushion
CryolinxIce140 / 100100Partner skill adds up to +80% — the burst option

Jetragon earns its row for the travelling, not the fighting. You're doing this run dozens of times, and a flying mount that also happens to be an A-tier Dragon turns a long crossing into a short one — the drop timer is the real enemy on a supply circuit, not the escort. Full stats and locations for each of these are on their Pal pages.

Chests, Camps, Digs and Fishing

Every tier, Legendary included, also sits in the wider Sky Island loot pool — which is the loot you collect anyway while you're up there mining Soralite. The high-grade treasure chests are the best of these; the ordinary chests and camp stashes roll one grade lower. The fishing entries are the ones people never try, and the Sky Island has both a normal fishing pool and a treasure-spot pool that each carry all four tiers.

Fishing in the Sky IslandAll four367 fishing spots map-wide
Treasure map digs (tier 5)Schematics 2, 3, 4

The tier 5 treasure map dig is the row to plan around. It excludes Schematic 1, which is the tier you'll be drowning in from supply drops, so every tier 5 dig is a roll on the three tiers that are actually worth combining. Park a rod at a Sky Island spot between drop timers and you're getting free rolls on the same four tiers for nothing — the fishing database has the full catch tables and the fishing guide covers which rods and spots are worth the walk.

Build It Instead: The Drafting Table Route

The Drafting Table unlocks at Technology Lv 45 for 4 Technology Points and combines five identical schematics into one of the next rarity up. This line supports the full ladder with no gaps, and because you unlock the weapon 25 levels after the table, you'll already own the bench long before your first Sky Island drop — the reverse of the timing problem most weapons have.

TargetCombine costEquivalent in Schematic 1s
Schematic 2Schematic 15
Schematic 3Schematic 225
Schematic 4 (Legendary)Schematic 3125

Here's the part that matters, and it's the strongest argument in the whole guide. If you ignore everything but the 0.22% roll, you need about 455 supply drops to see one Legendary. If you bank all four tiers and combine upward, every drop is contributing — 125 Schematic 1s, or 25 Schematic 2s, or 5 Schematic 3s, or one lucky top roll, all count toward the same goal — and the expected cost falls to roughly 113 supply drops. That's four times faster for zero extra effort. Never vendor a Schematic 1 on this weapon; it is worth exactly as much as the Legendary roll you're waiting on. The schematic upgrade guide has the full combine rules, and the table costs 20 Refined Ingot, 10 High Quality Wooden Board and 30 Charcoal to build.

TipCombine only at the top of the ladder. Bank Schematic 3s until you hold five, and don't spend Schematic 1s the moment you can afford a combine — the maths is identical either way, but holding the low tiers means a lucky Schematic 3 drop lands on a stack you can finish immediately instead of one you're four short of.

How to Craft the Heavy Assault Rifle

Whichever tier of schematic you're holding, the recipe never changes: four materials on the Ancient Workbench, for 3,500,000 work. That is the joint-highest crafting job in the class, and the bench itself is a Pal-only station — you can't use it yourself, so you need Pals with high Handiwork and Medicine Production suitability parked on it before a single unit moves.

AI Core5Advanced Workshop (Tech Lv 62)5 Computer + 10 Soralite Ingot + 2 Thermal Core + 1 Ancient Civilization Core each

That fourth row is the whole build. Five AI Cores quietly pull in 25 Computers, another 50 Soralite Ingots, 10 Thermal Cores and 5 Ancient Civilization Cores — and the 25 Computers pull in 50 more Bio Batteries on top of the 30 you already owe. Trace every branch down to things you pick off the ground and one Heavy Assault Rifle works out to 3,960 raw units:

Hexolite Quartz20635 nodes

Soralite is the only line that gates you, and it isn't the quantity — 300 is a few hours of mining — it's that its 226 nodes all sit in one region you have to fly to. Wood is the biggest raw number by far at 1,800, but a Charcoal loop in your base makes that free forever. The five Ancient Civilization Cores are the other genuine bottleneck for most players; the Ancient Civilization Core guide covers every route, and the Ancient Relic Recycler guide covers the recycling side.

Fastest Soralite Farm

Between the rifle and its ammo you'll want Soralite by the hundred, and mining is the slowest of the four routes. Every Sky Island supply drop contains 30-50 Soralite at 100% — the same drops you're already farming for the schematic — which makes the schematic hunt and the material hunt the same activity. Expeditions are the hands-off option: two of them pay Soralite, and the Hard one pays more than the Very Hard one.

Soralite nodesPer swing226 nodes, Sky Island only
Soralite QuarryPassive, foreverTech Lv 72, 7 Ancient Technology Points, 70 Stone + 100 Soralite + 10 Ancient Civilization Parts

Sunreach Isle is the pick if you can field it. It pays 30-50 Soralite in an hour for a 589,000-strength Dragon team, while the 120-minute Very Hard version pays less of it — you're sending that one for the Ancient Spheres, not the ore. If you're past Lv 72, the Soralite Quarry ends the problem permanently: it costs 100 Soralite to build and then produces on its own, which pays for itself inside a day. Full mission requirements are on the expeditions page and the best Pals for expeditions guide.

Can You Even Build It Yet?

Technology Lv 70 is the headline, but it's the stations underneath that stop people. The Heavy Assault Rifle needs the Ancient Workbench, which needs AI Cores, which need the Advanced Workshop and Soralite Ingots, which need the Ancient Furnace. Work down this list before you go schematic hunting — a Legendary schematic in your bag does nothing until the bench exists to use it.

Soralite QuarryTech Lv 72, 7 Ancient pointsPassive Soralite, so ammo stops hurting

Notice the trap in the middle of that list: the Ancient Workbench costs 5 AI Cores to build, and the rifle costs 5 more. Ten AI Cores means 50 Computers and 10 Ancient Civilization Cores before you fire a shot, so start the Computer line running well before Lv 67. Seven Technology Points at Lv 70 covers the gun and its ammo together, and every point on this list is an ordinary Technology Point except the Quarry's — the full tree is on the technology page.

How It Compares to Every Other Assault Rifle

Ranked on raw attack the Heavy Assault Rifle is second in its class, and on damage before a reload it's third. The two weapons above it are both awkward in their own way — the Charge Rifle trades a 6-round magazine and 200 durability for its huge per-shot number, and the Plasma Rifle is eight tech levels further out. Everything below it is a generation behind.

RifleTechBase AttackMagazineDurabilityWeightDamage per magazine
Charge Rifle6512,50062002075,000

Assault Rifle45320203,000156,400
Makeshift Assault Rifle31170151,500152,550

Two things the ranking hides. First, weight: at 5 this and the Plasma Rifle are a third the load of everything else in the class, which is the difference between carrying two endgame weapons and carrying one. Second, durability relative to what it replaces: 5,500 is nearly double the Laser Rifle's 3,000 and 27× the Charge Rifle's 200, so it's the one gun in the top band you can take on a long trip without a repair bench. Where it sits in the tech-level upgrade path is the Lv 70 to Lv 78 window, and it owns it outright. Every gun in the game is ranked on the gun tier list.

What a Legendary Version Actually Gains

Schematic rarity raises the crafted weapon's stats, and the base Assault Rifle is the one weapon in this exact class whose five rarity tiers are all laid out end to end. It climbs 320 → 400 → 448 → 512 → 560, which works out to ×1.25, ×1.4, ×1.6 and ×1.75 of base, with the magazine gaining 20 → 24 → 26 → 28 → 30 and durability going 3,000 → 3,000 → 4,000 → 5,000 → 6,000.

Uncommon40024~2,019
Rare44826~2,261
Epic51228~2,584
Legendary56030~2,826

Pocketpair has never published the per-rarity multipliers and they aren't uniform across weapon families, so the right-hand column is the plain Assault Rifle's own in-class curve applied to 1,615 and should be read as a close estimate. 1,615 is the only number in that column that's certain. The magazine is genuinely unknown here — the Heavy Assault Rifle already starts at 30 rounds, which is exactly where the base rifle's ladder *ends*, so there's no in-class precedent for what happens above it. Assume 30 and be pleasantly surprised.

At an estimated ~2,826 attack over 30 rounds, a Legendary Heavy Assault Rifle puts out roughly 84,800 damage per magazine — more than a Common Plasma Rifle's 70,680, from a weapon that unlocks eight tech levels earlier and doesn't need World Tree Ingots. That is the case for this schematic in one line: it lets a Lv 70 loadout punch into Lv 78 territory, and it's the most common legendary schematic in the pool that carries it.

Heavy Assault Rifle Ammo and Running Costs

This is the part nobody budgets for. Heavy Assault Rifle Ammo costs 2 Soralite Ingots and 10 Gunpowder for 20 rounds, on the Ancient Workbench, at 250,000 work per craft. A single 30-round magazine is a craft and a half — so every time you empty the gun you've spent 6 Soralite, 6 Pure Quartz, 60 Wood and 15 Sulfur. The ore you flew to the Sky Island to mine is literally what you're shooting.

AmmoRecipePer craftSoralite Ingot per round
Heavy Assault Rifle Ammo2 Soralite Ingot + 10 Gunpowder200.1
Combat SMG Ammo2 Soralite Ingot + 6 Gunpowder200.1
Prototype Shotgun Ammo4 Soralite Ingot + 8 Gunpowder100.4
Tactical Grenade Launcher Ammo4 Soralite Ingot + 10 Gunpowder100.4

The two rifle-class rounds cost a tenth of an ingot each, which is the cheapest rate on the Ancient Workbench — a shotgun shell or a launcher shell costs four times as much, though those fire on completely different terms and shouldn't be compared on damage. Inside the rifle class the comparison is fair and one-sided: each Soralite Ingot buys 16,150 damage as Heavy Assault Rifle rounds against 9,070 as Combat SMG rounds, so the same ore does 1.8× more work in this gun. Craft ammo in batches of a hundred, and get the Soralite Quarry up at Lv 72 so the running cost becomes something your base pays instead of you. Every other weapon's ammo cost is on the ammo database.

The Short Answer

The Legendary Heavy Assault Rifle Schematic drops only in the Sky Island, from supply drops at 0.22%, plus Sky Island chests, camp boss stashes, tier 5 treasure map digs and Sky Island fishing spots. No Pal drops it and no vendor sells it. Don't chase the 0.22% on its own — bank all four tiers and combine at the Drafting Table, because each tier is exactly one fifth as likely as the one above it and every one of them counts, which cuts the expected grind from about 455 supply drops to about 113. Bring a Dragon for Xenovader and an Ice Pal for Xenogard. The rifle itself unlocks at Tech Lv 70, builds on the Ancient Workbench for 3,500,000 work, and traces down to 3,960 raw units — 300 of them Soralite. Craft the Uncommon version the day you hit Lv 70; every tier fires the same 30-round magazine, and the rarity only moves the numbers.
