Best Pals for Carrying More Items and Carry Weight Gear

The best hauling Pals in Palworld — the only two at Transporting 7, every rank 6 alternative with its transport speed and food cost, the handbook that pushes a hauler past the ceiling, and the gear and elixirs that raise your own carrying capacity.

Best Pals for Carrying More Items and Carry Weight Gear — Palworld Database

"Carrying more" means two different things in Palworld, and both have a fix. Your base needs Pals that move more finished goods per trip, and you need to stop getting stuck at half weight in a dungeon. This guide covers the seven best hauling Pals with their exact Transporting ranks, transport speeds and food costs, plus the gear, handbooks and elixirs that raise your own carrying capacity.

Two Different Ways to Carry More

The base side is the Transporting job — a Pal assigned to it picks up whatever your workers produce and runs it into your chests, and its rank decides how much it moves at a time. 140 Pals have Transporting at all, and exactly two of them reach rank 7, which is the top of the ladder. That matters because Transporting is the odd job out: every other base job except Farming climbs to rank 8, so a 7 here is a full ceiling, not one step short of it. The player side is a completely separate stat called Max Carrying Capacity, and it comes from armor, accessories and two permanent-boost elixirs — no Pal you assign to a base will move your own weight limit.

What you wantThe stat that controls itWhere the ceiling sits
A Pal that hauls more per tripTransporting work suitabilityRank 7 — 140 Pals have the job, only 2 hit the top
A Pal that hauls it there fasterTransport speed500 is the top figure on any Pal with the job — Faleris Aqua is the one that pairs it with a high rank
Your own inventory weight limitMax Carrying CapacityLv. 4, a flat +300, on three pieces of endgame gear

The rank distribution is brutally top-heavy in the wrong direction: 46 Pals sit at Transporting 1 and 45 at rank 2, while rank 6 has six bodies and rank 7 has two. That means most of the Pals you catch early are technically haulers and practically useless at it, and the jump from a rank 2 filler to a rank 6 keeper is the single biggest logistics upgrade a base gets.

The 7 Best Pals for Carrying More Items

Ranked by Transporting rank first and transport speed second, because rank decides the load and speed decides how long the round trip takes. The two rank 7s are the outright answer if you can catch them, but the interesting picks are further down: Dualith does three jobs at once, Faleris Aqua moves faster than anything else with the job, and Quivern gets you 90% of the way there on the cheapest food bill of the seven. Food slots are worth reading as carefully as the rank — a 9-slot hauler eats more than the workers it's serving.

#PalTransportingTransport speedFood slotsWhy it earns the spot
1Knocklem74009One of only two Pals at the Transporting ceiling, and it mines at rank 7 on the same body — no other chassis pairs the top hauling rank with a second job that strong
2Knocklem Ignis74009The other rank 7. Identical hauling, Kindling 5 instead of Gathering 4, and it turns up at almost twice as many spawn points
3Eidrolon64009Transporting is its only job, so nothing ever pulls it off the route — and at 1,400 run speed, nothing else above Transporting 4 keeps up with it
4Dualith63508Rank 6 hauling stacked on Mining 6 and Lumbering 5, and it is catchable at 75 spawn points
5Wumpo61507Rank 6 on the lightest food bill in the top five, but it walks the route at 150 — the slowest hauler here by a wide margin
6Faleris Aqua55009Nothing with the Transporting job moves faster, and it brings Watering 6 and 197 spawn points
7Quivern54706Nearly Faleris speed on 6 food slots at 423 spawn points — by far the easiest of the seven to actually get

Knocklem — Transporting 7 and Mining 7

Knocklem runs Transporting 7 and Mining 7 on the same body, with Gathering 4 on top — the top of the Transporting ladder and one step off Mining's, a combination only its fire variant shares. It hauls at 400 transport speed, which is mid-pack among the fast haulers but far more than enough when it is moving a rank 7 load every trip. The cost is a 9-slot appetite and no mount saddle, so it lives in your base permanently rather than travelling with you. Catching one is realistic — 33 spawn points plus a level 55 alpha.

Knocklem Ignis — the Easier Rank 7

Knocklem Ignis is the same 7/7 chassis with Kindling 5 where the base version has Gathering 4, which makes it the better pick if your base runs furnaces. It also spawns at 58 points against Knocklem's 33, so if you are hunting one of the two rank 7s from scratch, hunt this one. Same 400 transport speed, same 9 food slots, same lack of a saddle.

Eidrolon — the Pure Hauler

Eidrolon has Transporting 6 and no other work suitability whatsoever, which sounds like a downside and is actually the point — a Pal with three jobs will wander off to a workbench mid-haul, and this one physically cannot. It carries a 400 transport speed and a 1,400 run speed — no other Pal at Transporting 4 or above moves that fast. The catch is availability: it has no wild spawn points at all and only appears as a level 69 alpha. If that fight is out of reach, Eidrolon Ignis has the same Transporting 6 and 400 transport speed with Kindling 6 bolted on, and it does spawn — 26 points. Both ride as mounts, with saddles at Tech Lv 68 and Tech Lv 76 respectively.

Dualith — Three Jobs on One Body

Dualith is the value pick of the whole list. Transporting 6 at 350 transport speed, plus Mining 6, Lumbering 5, Planting 3 and Gathering 3 — five jobs on one worker slot, on 8 food slots rather than 9. It is XL-sized, so it needs room, and it rides with a saddle at Tech Lv 48. Availability is the clincher: 75 spawn points and alphas at both level 55 and level 75. The dark variant Dualith Noct has identical ranks and speed but only 3 spawn points, so treat it as an alpha hunt at level 70 rather than a catch.

Wumpo — Rank 6 on a Small Appetite

Wumpo holds Transporting 6 with Lumbering 5 and Cooling 5, and eats 7 food slots — the cheapest of the rank 6 group. Its problem is a 150 transport speed, less than half what the rest of this list manages, so it takes noticeably longer to walk each load into the chest. Put it in a compact base where the run from workbench to storage is short and the drawback mostly disappears; put it in a sprawling one and you will watch it plod. 53 spawn points, saddle at Tech Lv 45. Wumpo Botan swaps Cooling for Planting 3 and has 83 spawn points plus a level 38 alpha, which makes it the easier catch of the pair.

Faleris Aqua — the Fastest Hauler in the Game

Faleris Aqua tops out at 500 transport speed, the highest figure on any Pal that can take the Transporting job. It only reaches rank 5, so each trip carries less than a Knocklem's, but it makes those trips faster than anything else and brings Watering 6 with it — enough to run every plantation you build. It costs 9 food slots and it is a flying mount at Tech Lv 60, so it doubles as travel. 197 spawn points and a level 66 alpha make it the most catchable high-end hauler on this list.

Quivern — the One You Can Get Today

Quivern is Transporting 5 at 470 transport speed on 6 food slots, which is the best speed-to-appetite ratio of the seven. It adds Mining 4, Gathering 3 and Handiwork 2, rides at Tech Lv 38, and shows up at 423 spawn points — you will trip over one long before you are ready to hunt a level 69 alpha. If you are building your first serious logistics crew, two Quiverns will out-move one badly-fed rank 6. Quivern Botan keeps the 470 speed but drops to Transporting 4, so it is the planting variant, not the hauling one.

Where to Catch All Seven

Five of the seven are ordinary field catches, which is unusual for a list of ceiling-rank workers. Quivern and Faleris Aqua are the two you can realistically farm duplicates of for the Pal Essence Condenser, and Eidrolon is the only one with no wild presence at all. Note which of them ride: four carry saddles, so a hauler you catch for the base can also be the thing you fly home on.

Cheaper Haulers You Can Catch Right Now

You do not need a rank 6 to fix a base that is drowning in uncollected goods. Helzephyr is the one to know about: only Transporting 4, but a 450 transport speed, a saddle at Tech Lv 25, and 1,099 spawn points — the most of any Pal at Transporting 4 or above, and it isn't close. Beakon is the efficiency pick at Transporting 5 on just 5 food slots, less than anything else at rank 5 or higher eats, and it flies at Tech Lv 29. Warsect is the trap on this table: rank 5 sounds great until you notice the 110 transport speed and the 10 spawn points.

PalTransportingTransport speedFood slotsSpawn pointsWhat else it brings
Helzephyr445071,099Nothing else — a pure hauler, and a flying mount at Tech Lv 25
Beakon53755504Generating Electricity 4, Gathering 2; flying mount at Tech Lv 29
Roujay5450880Gathering 5; mount at Tech Lv 72
Warsect5110610Lumbering 4, Handiwork 3, Planting 3 — but painfully slow on the route
Quivern Botan4470659Planting-first variant; same speed as Quivern, one rank lower
Helzephyr Lux5450780A rank above the base Helzephyr, at a fraction of the spawn points

Helzephyr Lux is the quiet upgrade in that table — same 450 speed and 7 food slots as Helzephyr, one full rank higher. The only reason it is not the default recommendation is that it spawns at 80 points against 1,099, so you will meet a hundred Helzephyrs before your first Lux.

Push a Hauler Past the Ceiling

The Applied Transporting Handbook I permanently adds +1 Transporting to one individual Pal. That is the only way past rank 7 — feed it to a Knocklem and you have a hauler carrying more than anything that exists naturally; feed it to a Dualith and a Pal you caught at 75 spawn points is suddenly tied with the ceiling. The upgrade binds to that one Pal and not the species, so condense and passive it first — the full handbook guide covers all twelve books and who to spend them on.

The other half of a hauler's output is how fast it walks, since the job is literally a commute. Movement passives are the rolls worth chasing on a transporter, and food-drain passives keep a 9-slot body from eating the base out of house and home. Here is what each one is worth:

Gear That Raises Your Own Carrying Capacity

Your personal weight limit is raised by a stat called Max Carrying Capacity, and it comes in four tiers. Only the top one carries a stated number — Lv. 4 is a flat +300 — so the lower tiers are ranked here by how the game itself describes them rather than by a figure Pocketpair has never published. Three pieces of gear hit that top tier, and the good news is that two of them are accessories, which means you can stack them with a body armour that does something else entirely.

Those two schematics sit in the same chase pools as every other accessory — Large Oil Rig crates run about 1-in-100 for any one specific accessory schematic and Sky Island treasure chests closer to 1-in-700, so they arrive on their own schedule while you farm the rig for other reasons. The charm guide covers the Wandering Merchant Charm's climate half in full. Below the top tier, the two lightweight armour variants are the practical mid-game answer, and the Ring of Freight line is the cheap accessory option.

The Feathered Hair Band is a genuinely useful early pickup for two tech points, because at Tech Lv 10 you have nothing else competing for a head slot and every extra kilo matters when you are hand-carrying ore. By the time Lightweight Plasteel Armor unlocks at Tech Lv 55 you are trading raw defense for weight — 400 Defense against what the standard armour line offers at the same tier — so check the armour upgrade path before you commit a build to it.

Burden Remedy and Burden Elixir: the Permanent Fix

Gear can be swapped out; these two cannot. Both are consumables that permanently raise your carrying capacity, they only work on the player, and there is no cap on collecting them beyond how many you can find. Burden Remedy is the smaller of the two and comes from early-region crates, while Burden Elixir is the real one — and it is the only one you can simply buy.

ItemWhat it doesRecipeWhere to find it
Burden RemedyPermanently raises carrying capacity by a slight amount4 × Carrying Lotus (S) + 1 × Predator Core20% per supply drop crate in the Grasslands and Forest; dungeon elixir stands in the Forest
Burden ElixirPermanently raises carrying capacity6 × Carrying Lotus (L) + 2 × Predator Core200 [[item:DogCoin|Dog Coins]] in the Medal Shop; 20% per crate in the Desert, Mount Obsidian, Snowfields, Sakurajima, Dark Island and Sky Island; dungeon elixir stands in Mount Obsidian

If you would rather craft than farm crates, both flowers come out of the same place. Carrying Lotus (S) drops from oil rig crates and from recycling every grade of Ancient Relic at the Ancient Relic Recycler. Carrying Lotus (L) comes from the same two routes but pays better on the big rig — 1-3 per run from Large Oil Rig crates against 1-2 from the standard rigs. Predator Cores come off Predator Pals, so a Burden Elixir is really two farms stapled together.

TipBuy the Burden Elixir from the Medal Shop before you buy anything else there. At 200 Dog Coins it is cheaper than a 300-coin handbook, it is permanent, and it applies to you rather than to one Pal you might replace later — which makes it the only Medal Shop purchase that can never be wasted. Mimog is where the coins come from.

The Short Answer

For the base: catch a Quivern today, replace it with a Dualith when you can, and finish with a Knocklem — Transporting 7 and Mining 7 on one body is as good as a worker slot gets. For yourself: craft Lightweight Plasteel Armor at Tech Lv 55, drink every Burden Elixir you find, and pick up a Wandering Merchant Charm or Islander's Tool Belt when the rig finally hands one over. And if it is just a bit of extra room you want on a hunting trip, Cattiva's Cat Helper partner skill nudges your carrying capacity up for free while it rides along — you can catch one in your first ten minutes.
