How to Farm Dog Coins: Kill Mimog

Every wild [[pal:MimicDog|Mimog]] drops 170-250 Dog Coin at 100%, which means the 840 you need is four kills on a good run and five on a bad one. Want both Lily spear schematics? That's 1,440 coins, or six to nine kills. Mimog is a Neutral XS Pal disguised as a treasure chest, and there are 5,302 places it can spawn across the map, day or night — it is not a rare Pal, it's a fast one.

That second row is why this is one of the best farms in the game full stop: five Mimog kills is roughly 45,000-55,000 Gold on top of the schematic money, plus five Training Manual (XL) for whatever Pal you're levelling. The problem is catching it in the first place. Mimog's run speed is 2,000, the highest of any Pal in Palworld — Lyleen runs at 450 for comparison — and it bolts the instant you're spotted. Open with your heaviest ranged burst before it moves, or bring a mount that can keep pace. It only has 60 base HP, so the fight is never the hard part.

If chasing chest-shaped Pals isn't your idea of an evening, there's a quieter second source: 128 Dog Coin gathering nodes are placed around the world, and they're static pickups rather than a fight. They won't out-earn Mimog by a distance — a single Mimog is worth a lot of nodes — but they top up a run for free while you're passing. Pin them with the Dog Coin node layer.

How to Craft the Enhanced Lily's Spear

The recipe is four materials on the Advanced Weapon Assembly Line for 300,000 work, and the schematic doesn't change it — Legendary or not, you feed the bench the same list. What the recipe screen hides is that three of those four are crafted goods with their own recipes underneath, and one of them quietly triples once you trace it.

There's the trap: each wooden board eats 2 more High Quality Cloth, so 20 boards add another 40 cloth on top of the 20 the spear asks for directly. You need 60 High Quality Cloth in total, and that is 600 Wool. Trace everything down to things you pick up or shear and one spear works out to 1,200 raw units — a tidy coincidence with its 1,200 attack, and a genuinely heavy bill for a melee weapon.

Soralite is the line that gates you, not the wool. It only exists in Sunreach, there are 226 nodes total against 4,654 for lumber, and it has to go through the Ancient Furnace — a Lv 66 build that itself costs 100 Coralum Ingot, 30 Computer, 20 Thermal Core and 10 Ancient Civilization Core. Leather is the easy one: a dozen Mammorest kills cover all 60 at 5-10 a time, and Eikthyrdeer pays 2-3 if you want a lighter fight.

Fastest Way to 600 Wool

Do not kill your way to 600 Wool. Melpaca drops 2-5 a kill at 100%, which is somewhere between 120 and 300 corpses — absurd for one weapon. Put wool Pals on a Ranch instead and let the pile build while you farm Dog Coins. Three Pals produce Wool on a ranch, and Melpaca is the one to use: it yields the most per kill as well, so a spare one in the field is never wasted.

Kingpaca and Sweepa pay the most per kill but can't be ranched, so they're for topping off rather than bulk. Lamball is the easiest to stock at 351 spawn points, and a ranch full of them will out-produce anything you can hunt. While you're setting that up, the 200 Hardwood is a separate job: Wumpo Botan drops 2-5 at 100%, Palumba 2-4 and Mossanda 1-3, and all three beat chopping trees by hand. Can You Build It Yet?

Lv 68 is the headline, but four supporting nodes gate you first and two of them are expensive builds in their own right. Work down this list before you spend a single Dog Coin, because the schematic sits in your bag doing nothing until the Advanced Weapon Assembly Line exists to use it — and that's a Lv 63 unlock, five levels ahead of the spear itself.

Nine Technology Points across the two benches and four on the spear is a real spend, but every point here is an ordinary Technology Point — nothing in this chain needs the Ancient kind you pry out of tower bosses. The sequencing tip is to unlock the Advanced Weapon Assembly Line at 63 and the Ancient Furnace at 66 on the way up, then buy the schematic while you close the last two levels; the whole tree is on the technology page.

How It Compares to Every Other Melee Weapon

Ranked on raw attack the Enhanced Lily's Spear is second in the class, and it holds that spot from Lv 68 until the Laser Sword shows up at 73. Durability follows the same shape — 600 is second only to the Laser Sword across the standard melee line. Two things the ranking hides. First, reach: this is a spear, so it lands from further out than the swords sitting near it, which matters a lot when the thing you're hitting has a melee slam of its own. Second, weight: at 10 it ties every serious melee weapon in the game except the Metal Bat, so there's no carrying penalty for keeping it slotted alongside a gun. The Spear Line, Start to Finish

Palworld's spear ladder is short and it ends here. The two Lily spears are the only ones that are genuinely competitive weapons rather than early-game filler, and the jump from the last craftable metal spear to Lily's Spear is enormous — 310 attack to 860, then 860 to 1,200. The two Pal-material spears in the middle are a curiosity: they're built from boss parts, they weigh more, and at 150 attack they're already outclassed by a plain Sword.

Read the weight column on those middle two and the picture is clear — 15 and 20 for a 150-attack weapon is a bad trade at any point in the game, and both exist mostly as trophies for the Pals they're made from. If you want a spear that actually carries a fight, it's a Lily spear or nothing, which is exactly why 840 Dog Coin is worth the walk. Who Lily Is, and Why the Spear Is Named After Her

The spear belongs to the tower boss fight against Lily and her Grass Pal Lyleen, and the item text is a straight jab at the player — the base version "punishes those who neglect their Pals", the Enhanced one "pierces" them. Beating that tower awards the Lyleen Bounty Token, which permanently boosts your whole team's stats just by sitting in your inventory. Fighting Lyleen doesn't give you the schematic, but it's the reason the weapon exists.

Those multipliers apply to Lyleen's ordinary 120 HP / 100 melee / 120 ranged / 110 defence stat line, and the rematch is a genuinely different fight — ×10 damage dealt and only 12% damage taken turns a comfortable first clear into a wall.
